Pedigree Boosters

Ahead of the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast, we have picked out three yearlings who have had substantial pedigree updates in the build up to the sale.

Today, we look at the full brother to a million-dollar yearling who became a recent stakes-winner, a couple of fillies from the extended family of the very promising Libertini (I Am Invincible) and a half-sister to a 2-year-old stakes winner last weekend.

Lot 2303 - Not A Single Doubt x Star Pupil (Starcraft {NZ} - Offered by Arrowfield Stud

Already from a strong stakes-winning family, this colt got an extra bonus when his full-brother Stronger justified some of his million-dollar yearling price with a win in the Listed Ken Russell S. at the Gold Coast last month.

Stronger was already stakes placed as has been another from Star Pupil, Tiger Silk (All American), while the second dam is the great producer Ain't Seen Nothin' (Nothin Leica Dane), who had a trio of stakes winners in Bachman (All American), Stepitup (Hussonet {USA}) and Ain'tnofallenstar (Starcraft {NZ}),

Lot 2525 - Arlington x Tennessee Mischief (Desert Prince (Ire)) - Offered by Tamalee Farm

Tamalee Farm offers two lots from the close family of Libertini (I Am Invincible), who emerged as one of the country's most promising 2-year-olds with a victory in the recent Listed Woodlands S. Lot 2525 is out of Tennessee Mischief, who is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Malaguerra (Magnus) as well as Tennessee Midnight (Danehill {USA}), who is Libertini's granddam.

Lot 2526, another Arlington filly, is from the same family, albeit another generation further back. The mare they all have in common is Tennessee Morn (Blenchingly), a stakes winning juvenile who has become quite the blue hen, with the family also featuring Group 1 winner Seabrook (Hinchinbrook) on the page.

Lot 2157 - Hallowed Crown x Kwinana (Lonhro) - Offered by Oaklands Stud

This filly's half-brother Diamond Thunder (New Approach {Ire}) has shown considerable talent in his first campaign for Mark Newnham, winning his two races at Hawkesbury and Warwick Farm before adding some valuable black-type on the weekend with an impressive win in the Listed Oxlade S. at Doomben.

The dam Kwinana comes from a good Darley family which includes the recent Group 3 placegetter and stakes-winner Manicure (Exceed And Excel), his Group 3 winning dam Trim (Lonhro) and G2 WA Derby winner Gatting (Hard Spun {USA}), who was fourth in the G1 Kingston Town S. last December.
