The colt was travelling boldly on straightening and he found the line strongly to inflict a first defeat on Standout (Exceed And Excel). Last season’s G1 ATC Sires’ Produce S. winner Microphone (Exceed And Excel) produced a satisfactory return by boxing on gamely for his third placing.

Race Summary:
Colada (Brazen Beau) set up a strong gallop in front and was coasting on the turn under apprentice Robbie Dolan.
The gelding was well clear 300 metres out and he held a strong gallop to win for the second time in his nine-race career. Brandenburg (Burgundy {NZ}) came from the back for second and the favourite Bottega (Snitzel) also got home from last to take third spot.

She settled midfield and once rider Glen Boss got her into the clear the 6-year-old finished determinedly. Delectation Girl (GB) (Delegator {GB}) lodged her bid near the fence and found the line strongly for second with the front-runner Amangiri (All Too Hard) battled on for third.

Race Summary:
Craftsmanship (NZ) (Savabeel) came out on top in a race that turned into a test of stamina and a thrilling scramble to the finish.
Raabeeha (Fastnet Rock) set the pace through the early part of the race, but the pressure went on a long way from home as the challengers began to make their moves.
Magazine (NZ) (Savabeel) loomed as the biggest danger at the top of the straight, cruising to the lead and travelling well. But she found herself under siege on both flanks as Craftsmanship and Balaabel (Not A Single Doubt) tried to run her down.
The trio fought an exciting battle to the finish, which Craftsmanship won by a head from Balaabel. Magazine was another nose away in third.
Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent (Jnr) and carrying the colours of the late Dato’ Tan Chin Nam, Craftsmanship has now won two of his four starts and $88,000 in stakes.

Craftsmanship was bred by the Little Avondale Trust and was a $360,000 purchase at the New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale by DGR Thoroughbred Services and Mick Price Racing.
He becomes the 91st individual stakes winner champion New Zealand stallion Savabeel, who has sired a total of 620 winners from 880 runners. He enjoyed two stakes successes in Australia on Saturday, with The Chosen One (NZ) winning the G2 Herbert Power S. at Caulfield.
Craftsmanship is out of the Pins mare Aspinal (NZ), who won six races including the Listed Lion Red Plate at Rotorua. She also placed in the G2 Hawke’s Bay Guineas, G3 Spring Sprint and Listed Newmarket H., and finished fourth in the G1 Railway S.
Craftsmanship is her second foal to race and second winner, following on from the two-race winner Mummentum (NZ) (O’Reilly {NZ}).
Aspinal comes from a quality family. Her dam Clermont Rose (NZ) (Sound Reason {Can}) was a multiple stakes placegetter, while Aspinal’s half-brother Grand Dancer (NZ) (No Excuse Needed {GB}) won the G3 Eclipse S. and was fourth in the G2 Royal Sovereign S.

Kemalpasa (Magnus) claimed his first stakes win with a powerful performance in Saturday’s Morphettville sprint feature.
Ridden by Jake Toerok for trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly, the 4-year-old raced in fifth place and ran the race out too strongly for his rivals, dashing to the lead in the straight and going clear to win by 1l.
It continued a highly successful week for owner Neville Morgan, whose colours were also carried to victory by Kolding (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}) in last Saturday’s G1 Epsom H.
Kemalpasa has now had 21 starts for eight wins and seven placings, earning $285,100 in prize-money.

Paisley Park completed a quinella for the ill-fated Azamour (Ire) with Lady Sabeel (NZ) (Savabeel) arriving late for third money.
