Top stallions represented in NZB Ready To Run Catalogue

Next month's New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale of 2YOs is set to showcase the progeny of some of New Zealand and Australia's best stallions as well as those by the best emerging sires from this part of the world.

There are 414 2-year-olds catalogued to sell at the sale, which will be held on November 20 and 21 at Karaka, with breeze-ups to happen on October 21 and 22 at Te Rapa.

The NZB Ready To Run Sale of 2YOs has produced the winners of 19 Group 1 races and 140 stakes races over the past six years.

Savabeel is well represented with 18 Lots for sale | Standing at Waikato Stud

There are 18 lots by New Zealand's five-time champion sire Savabeel, including Lot 407, a half-brother to the four-time Group 1 winner and now sire Sacred Falls (NZ) (O’Reilly {NZ}), as well as a close relations to Group 1 winning Savabeel pair Diademe (NZ) and Embellish (NZ) (Lot 302).

Waikato Stud-based Savabeel has had Group 1 winners Sangster (NZ) and Hall Of Fame (NZ) came through this sale in recent years.

Cambridge Stud's Tavistock (NZ) is the sire of 13 2-year-olds in the Ready To Run Sale catalogue, including Lots 124 and 275, who are sons of Group 1-winning mares Pondarosa Miss (NZ) (High Chaparral {Ire}) and Banchee (NZ) (Oratorio {Ire}).

Showcasing's (GB) penultimate crop from his time at Haunui Farm is featured with 15 2-year-olds catalogue, including Lot 251, a full-brother to the stakes-winning 2-year-old Flaunting (NZ) and Lot 349, a half-brother to Group 1 winner MacO’Reilly (NZ) (O’Reilly {NZ}).

Leading Australian-based stallions Fastnet Rock, More Than Ready (USA), Pierro and Written Tycoon are also represented as well as third-season stars Dundeel (NZ) and Zoustar.

Second-season sire Charm Spirit (Ire) is represented by seven 2-year-olds, while Ocean Park (NZ), who recently celebrated his first Group 1 winner as a stallion, has 12 of his progeny in the Ready To Run Sale catalogue.

Some of the young Australian-based stallions represented at the sale include Vancouver, Deep Field, Dissident and Kermadec (NZ).
