Mare a pretty prospect

Randwick, G3 ICD Property Nivison, $200,000, 1200m

Pretty In Pink (Sebring) is a talented mare who has had little luck in her last two runs, but a trial win indicated she could bounce back quickly. This company holds no fears for her as she is already a Group 2 winner.

So too is the well-related Miss Fabulass (Frankel {GB}), who has been out once this preparation and sharp improvement can be expected from her.

Pretty In Pink

Multaja (Medaglia d’Oro {USA}) ran fourth when resuming under 58kg at Warwick Farm so is better off here. She has also been a second-up winner in the past.

Celebrity Dream (NZ) (Thorn Park) was only fair when seventh in the G2 Blazer S., but it was her first run for six months so she might be more competitive with the benefit of an outing. Ready To Prophet (Smart Missile) looked good in winning a recent trial and might be the value runner.

Faretti on fire

Randwick, Listed Southern Cross Brian Crowley S., $200,000, 1200m

Faretti (I Am Invincible) was out of the money in his only 2-year-old appearances, but since then he has won four trials and cruised home to win his maiden on the Kensington track. He looks capable of making his mark in black type company.

Diamond Thunder (Dawn Approach {Ire}) ended his juvenile campaign with victory in the Listed Oxlade S. at Doomben. He has trialled well ahead of his return.

Faretti

Surreal Step (Sidestep) hasn’t done much wrong in a light career and he’s in the place mix again while Dirty Work (Written Tycoon) has yet to win, but has placed in strong company and Cardiff (Snitzel) has also raced well in competitive events.

Hulk (I Am Invincible) has been well backed in all of his appearances, but has yet to deliver a winning return and he’s had easier chances than this to deliver.

Stayer deserves attention

Randwick, Listed Club NSW City Tattersalls Club Cup, $140,000, 2400m

Attention Run (Ger) (Hurricane Run {Ire}) can take advantage of a major drop back in grade after finishing a close seventh in the G1 Metropolitan at his last appearance.

Attention Run (Ger)

Maurus (GB) (Medicean {GB}) was a solid last-start third over this trip in the G3 Colin Stephen and has tuned up with a subsequent trial outing while Naval Warfare (Ire) (Born To Sea {Ire}) finds it hard to win, but is usually around the mark.

Master Of Wine (Ger) (Maxios {GB}) won well enough in a looser grade last time to warrant a second look and Rapido Chaparro (High Chaparral {Ire}) has a similar profile.

Repeat result tipped

Ellerslie, G3 Barneswood Farm Soliloquy S., NZ$70,000, 1400m

Aretha (NZ) (Charm Spirit {Ire}) and Bavella (Snitzel) fought out a head-bobbing duel in the G3 Gold Trail S. at Hastings and they should be major players here again.

The former got home by a slender margin last time out in her seasonal reappearance and should strip fitter for her effort, as will Bavella, both fillies look to be better-suited by the step up to 1400 metres.

Bavella

Travelling Light (NZ) (El Roca) was a debut winner before she trounced her age group opposition last time out and has proved effective on wet and dry ground.

Jennifer Eccles (NZ) (Rip Van Winkle {Ire}) was luckless when fourth in the Gold Trail, as was Hastobegood (NZ) (Per Incanto {USA}) and they both warrant serious consideration.

Diamonds Galore (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) broke her maiden in style last time out and in the manner of a filly who can make her mark at stakes level. Loire (Redoute’s Choice) has been sound in both of her spring runs and she looms as a solid chance again.

The secret’s out

Trentham, G3 Gee & Hickton Funeral Directors Thompson H., NZ$70,000, 1600m

Secret Allure (NZ) (Zacinto {GB}) came from a mile back to claim the G3 Taranaki Breeders’ S. last time out and a similar effort will see her hard to handle in this.

Dolcetto (NZ) (Per Incanto {USA}) will have his work cut out to give this field weight and a beating, but he is a class act as he showed when fourth in the G1 Livamol Classic.

Polly Grey (NZ) (Azamour {Ire}) is in the form of her career with a hat-trick of wins completed with success in the Listed Matamata Cup and she’s well-weighted to run well again.

Mauna Kea (NZ) (Per Incanto {USA}) was racing well before he finished out of the money in the Livamol. He had to work hard early to lead and from his handy gate should get a more economical trip.

2YO on song

Trentham, Listed Hanley Formula Wellesley S., $50,000, 1000m

Play That Song (NZ) (Showcasing {GB}) was well supported on debut at Ruakaka and comfortably saw her supporters through with a debut win and has to be a serious chance again.

Platinum Dubai (Pride Of Dubai) and Cool Aza Beel (NZ) (Savabeel) have similar profiles with wins at the first time of asking so their claims are hard to ignore.

De La Terre (NZ) (Reliable Man {GB}) closed well behind Cool Aza Beel at Wanganui and the extra distance will suit her while Amosia (Squamosa) overcame a slow start to finish second in her first appearance and should benefit from that experience.

Lad looks home

Riccarton, G3 War Decree S., NZ$80,000, 1600m

Aotea Lad (NZ) (Savabeel) has performed well in both of his outings and he came on well in the straight to finish third in the G2 Hawke’s Bay Guineas. This represents an easier assignment for him.

Sherwood Forest (Fastnet Rock) was a maiden winner two runs back and then did well to finish fifth off a three-wide run in the Guineas.

Sherwood Forest

Woodcote Lass (NZ) (Showcasing {GB}) had to cover extra ground when third in the Listed Canterbury Belle S. and has been kept up to the mark since with a trial outing. Charlie Awesome (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) was impressive winning at Timaru and will be better suited to the roomier Riccarton track.

Dee And Gee fancied

Riccarton, Listed Christchurch Casino Spring Classic, NZ$50,000, 2000m

Dee And Gee (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}) will be better over more ground, but this is only her second middle distance outing this preparation so she may be fresh enough to go close.

Lochan Ora (NZ) (Towkay {USA}) had her measure last time they met and while he is worse off in the weights he should still prove competitive. His stablemate Galway Garry (NZ) (No Excuse Needed {GB}) is also in good form and was a touch unlucky at his most recent appearance.

Diorissimo (NZ) (Showcasing {GB}) is a genuine mare and in her current touch should be in the mix while Kaharau (Ad Valorem {USA}) has 60kg to shoulder, but he has proved he can shoulder big weights and he’s in a rich vein of form .
