Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
On Friday at Goulburn, we have settled on a 3-year-old who looks set to open his account and on a pair of gallopers who broke their maidens at their most recent appearances and are tipped to carry on their winning ways.

Snitzify (Snitzel) was a $100,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast graduate and is a brother to the G3 Aspiration H. winner and multiple stakes placegetter Ella Lou. Their dam Snipify (Snippets) was a black type performer who was successful five times up to 1600 metres.

She is out of a half-sister to the dam of the two-time Group 1 winner Srikandi (Dubawi {Ire}) and the G3 Kenilworth Final Fling S. winner Rain Gal (Galileo {Ire}). Snitzify was a trial winner last month and has subsequently finished third in each of his race day appearances. The colt has an ideal draw here and looks sure to take a power of beating.
Goulburn, Race 2, 1.55pm, Tash Burleigh Maiden, $22,000, 2120m
Superhombre (NZ) (El Roca) was fourth on debut and then showed his appreciation of a step up in trip to crack his maiden at Newcastle where he led every inch of the way. He stayed on strongly and in the manner to suggest he’s going to master another rise in trip here and from the inside gate should be able to again dictate the race off the front.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, the 3-year-old was a $210,000 purchase at the Gold Coast and is a half-brother to Peaceful (NZ) (Savabeel), who has a brace of stakes wins already to her credit. They are out of the winning Mossman mare Paloma (NZ), who is a half-sister to the G3 McNeil S. winner Chivalry (Street Cry {Ire}). Her dam Light Up The World (Rory’s Jester) won the G2 Challenge S. and is from the family of Military Grace (General Nediym), who was three times successful at Listed level.
Goulburn, Race 5, 3.40pm, Swiftwood Tiles & Bathroom H., $22,000, 1400m
Money Magic (So You Think {NZ}) is a half-brother to the Listed Dulcify H. winner Moqueen (Uncle Mo {USA}) and to the stakes performers Money Rocks (Fastnet Rock) and Beauty Express (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and to the mother of Malice (Teofilo {Ire}), who claimed two editions of the Listed ATC Cup.
Their dam Money Begets Money (Bite The Bullet) was Group placed and she is a sister to Mica's Pride, who produced the multiple Group 1 winner and sire Criterion (NZ) and G1 Doomben Cup winner Comin’ Through (Fastnet Rock). It's also the family of the G3 Manfred S. winner and sire Bull Point. Money Magic won on debut at Kembla Grange and in the style of a filly that can make her mark in stronger company.
