In the build up to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale at the Riverside Stables, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Today, we look at a half-brother by Your Song to a recent Group 2 placegetter, a colt from the family of leading 2-year-old Away Game (Snitzel) and a youngster related to the G2 Villiers S. winner Quackerjack (Not A Single Doubt).
Lot 99 - Your Song x Diamond Day (Marwina) – Offered by Bell River Thoroughbreds
Here is a half-brother to the quality mare Invincible Gem (I Am Invincible), a dual Group 2 winner who is also a multiple Group 1 placegetter. She recently furthered her black type record when runner-up in the G2 Villiers S.
They are out of Diamond Day, successful four times, and her only other foal to race is the five-time winner Exitozo (Excites). Further back in the pedigree is the G1 Queensland Derby winner Castillo (Valognes {GB}).
Lot 143 - Kermadec (NZ) x Fields Of Freedom (Encosta De Lago) – Offered by Widden Stud
This colt was handed a significant lift in Queensland where family member Away Game (Snitzel) won the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, the Listed Calaway Gal S. in her lead-up run and on Saturday the G3 Widden S.
Lot 143 - Kermadec (NZ) x Fields Of Freedom (colt)
Widden’s youngster is a son of Fields Of Freedom, a dual winner, and the pedigree also features the G1 Randwick Guineas winner Inference (So You Think {NZ}) and the G3 Gothic S. winner Ranier (Lonhro).
Lot 263 - Dundeel (NZ) x Lucky Thirteen (Red Ransom {USA}) – Offered by Riversdale
A welcome boost was delivered to this colt when family member Quackerjack (Not A Single Doubt) claimed top honours in the G2 Villiers S. A further lift since the catalogue went to print was provided by the smart 2-year-old Sugar Boom (Spirit Of Boom), who was successful in the Listed Mode Plate.
Lot 263 - Dundeel (NZ) x Lucky Thirteen (colt)
The pedigree page also features the G2 Surround S. winner Office (Metal Precieux {Fr}), the G3 Maurice McCarten S. winner Alberto Magic (Magic Albert), the black type winner Oxford Poet (Dylan Thomas {Ire}) and his half-sister Lady’s Angel (Arena), also a G1 Galaxy H. placegetter.
