Pedigree Boosters - Inglis Classic Sale

2 min read

In the build up to the Inglis Classic Sale at the Riverside Stables, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, we look at a Dissident colt whose family can’t stop winning, a Shooting To Win filly with some in-form siblings and a Maurice (Jpn) colt who has had additional black-type added to his pedigree page.

Lot 48 - Dissident x Celtic Sea (Fastnet Rock) - On Account Of Valiant Stud

This Dissident's colt's immediate family have been in good form of late with his full brother Celtic Rebel and his half-sister La Mer Mystique (The Factor {USA}) breaking through for their first wins in December at Werribee and Yarra Valley respectively.

Lot 48 - Dissident x Celtic Sea (filly)

His dam, Celtic Sea has recently had three half-brothers in the winner's circle, with Group 3 winner Tony Nicconi (Nicconi) victorious at Caulfield, Booradley (Nicconi) at Wagga and Westham (Nicconi) at Doomben.

Lot 73 - Shooting To Win x Conclude (Danzero) - On Account Of Sledmere Stud

This filly already has a stakes winning half-brother in Born To Fly (Mossman), but two other siblings have also had recent wins, with Guilty Pleasures (Northern Meteor) winning in Malaysia and Tom's Knight successful at Cranbourne.

Star Of Bombay (NZ) (Atlante) is another extended family member in winning form, with a pair of victories in New Zealand followed up by a third placing in the recent G2 Auckland Guineas, adding some weight to an already strong pedigree page.

Lot 219 - Maurice (Jpn) x Keep De Fortune (Galileo {Ire}) - On Account Of Torryburn Stud

Group 1 winner Danendri (Danehill {USA}) is this colt's granddam, so it’s already a very strong page, featuring stakes winners Zingam (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) and Banc De Fortune (Galileo {Ire}), half and full siblings respectively to his dam Keep De Fortune.

Lot 219 - Maurice (Jpn) x Keep De Fortune (colt)

Dual Group 1 winner Faint Perfume (Shamardal {USA}) is a granddaughter of Danendri, and her 3-year-old gelding Chains Of Honour (Redoute's Choice) recently added the G3 Grand Prix S. to the family's list of successes, while her half-brother Zona (More Than Ready {USA}) has won two recent races in Queensland.
