Classique Legend (Not A Single Doubt) may be in line for a second crack at the $15 million TAB Everest following the sale of the Australian Turf Club’s slot to the sprinter’s owner Boniface Ho.
The 4-year-old finished sixth in the 2019 edition of the world’s richest turf race for trainer Les Bridge and will be racing in Hong Kong this season, but will be in contention for a start in the Randwick feature to be run on October 17.
Ho, who has been active at recent yearling sales in Australia and has plans to increase his presence in Sydney racing, said the TAB Everest had captured the interest of international racing.

Australian Turf Club Chief Executive Jamie Barkley said the three-year deal with Ho was another huge vote of confidence in Sydney and its racing.
“The TAB Everest continues to grow its stature and influence across the racing world and we are especially thrilled that this deal will see more horses stabled and remain in Sydney to race.
“Mr Ho is a passionate racing fan and one of Hong Kong’s most respected owners, so his enthusiasm to be a long-time player in Sydney and the TAB Everest is significant.
“The Australian Turf Club in conjunction with Mr Ho looks forward to further promoting Sydney’s racing and the TAB Everest to the rest of the world.”
