In the build up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Today, we take a closer look at a daughter of Written Tycoon from a family with recent stakes winning 2-year-old form, a colt with a Group 1 boost from Hong Kong and a filly who has also received a timely top-flight credit.
Lot 321 – Written Tycoon x Alcatraz (Fastnet Rock) – On Account of Two Bays Farm
As a half-sister to multiple winner and G1 Golden Rose S. runner-up Kubrick (Shooting To Win), this filly has plenty to recommend her. Her fortunes have been further boosted by the success of family member Hard Rock Girl (All Too Hard), winner of last month’s Listed Cinderella S. and a juvenile event at The Valley.
It’s also the Group 1 family of former two-time Hong Kong Horse of the Year Fairy King Prawn (Danehill {USA}), Easy Rocking (Barathea {Ire}) and Cosmic Endeavour (Northern Meteor).
Lot 403 – Capitalist x De Chorus (Unbridled’s Song {USA}) – On Account of Torryburn Stud
Here is a half-brother to the dual Hong Kong Group 2 winner Hot King Prawn (Denman), who has won again since the catalogue was printed and finished third in the G1 Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup.
Their dam was successful on two occasions and she has also produced the G3 Star Kingdom H. winner Siren’s Fury (Myboycharlie {Ire}) while the second dam Val De Grace (NZ) (Centaine) was also a stakes winner.

Lot 415 – Snitzel x Dreams And Wishes (Galileo {Ire}) – On Account of Strawberry Hill Stud
This filly is a from a potent black type family and is out of a half-sister to the former champion South African sprinter Laisserfaire (Danehill {USA}), a five-time Group 1 winner, and the multiple Group 3 winner A Time For Julia (Redoute’s Choice).
Under the second dam is the smart juvenile Personal (Fastnet Rock), who further boosted the pedigree when a recent third in the G1 Blue Diamond S. Other updates have come from the G3 Kenilworth Prix du Cap winner Pretty Young Thing (SAF) (Jackson {SAF}) and the Listed Fireball S. winner Villami (Foxwedge).
