In the build up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Today, we zero in on Teofilo (Ire) filly whose half-sister has recently added two more Group credits, a son of American Pharoah (USA) from a family with recent winning form and a Snitzel colt whose half-sister has picked up black type in her first preparation.
Lot 46 – Teofilo (Ire) x Lumina (Redoute’s Choice) – On Account of Edinburgh Park
This filly is a half-sister to the G3 Kembla Grange Classic winner and G1 Tattersall’s Tiara runner-up Pohutukawa (Medaglia D’Oro {USA}). The mare has since added placings in last month’s G2 Guy Walter S. and the G3 Triscay S.
Under the second dam is Lady Lupino (Sebring), a recent placegetter in the G2 Angus Armanasco S. and she is a half-sister to the dual Group 1 winner and sire Star Witness and the G3 San Domenico S. winner Nostradamus (Medaglia D’Oro {USA}).

Lot 131 – American Pharoah (USA) x Phantom Queen (Charge Forward) – On Account of Widden Stud
This colt is a half-brother to two winners, including Valdostana (Snitzel) and she has added a brace of successes and a second placing to her record since the catalogue was printed.
Another update comes from the dam’s half-sister Supreme Idea (Snitzel), who recently claimed top honours in the Listed Lonhro Plate and she’s a sister to the two-time Group 2 winner, multiple Group 1 placegetter and sire Showtime.

Lot 189 – Snitzel x Serena Miss (NZ) (Iffraaj {GB}) – On Account of Torryburn Stud
This colt is a half-brother to Centimental (Snitzel) and she has placed in three of her four 2-year-old starts in strong company this season for trainer Chris Waller, including a second placing in the G3 Widden S.
The dam was a talented performer who won the G2 Sarten Memorial and the G2 Matamata Breeders’ S. and was third in the G1 NZ 2000 Guineas. Further back in the pedigree is the dual South African Group 2 winner New Predator (New Approach {Ire}) and the four-time Listed winner Presently (Unbridled’s Song {USA}).
