Pedigree Boosters - Inglis Easter Sale

In the build up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, we look at a filly with two black type boosts to further her profile, a colt closely related to a current stakes-performed 2-year-old and a daughter of American Pharoah (USA) to have received a Group 1 favour from afar.

Lot 295 – I Am Invincible x Your Life Style (Hussonet {USA}) - On Account of Newgate Farm

This filly is a half-sister to Café Royal (Snitzel) and she has won twice and placed since the catalogue went to print. Their dam is a half-sister to the stakes winning sisters Precious Lorraine (Encosta De Lago) and Lucky Raquie.

Under the second dam is another recent winner in Star Of Monsoon (Lonhro) with Listed Incognitus S. winner Sangria (I Am Invincible) and G3 Vanity S. placegetter Meuse (Snitzel) adding recent black type form credits to the family honours board.

Lot 315 – Snitzel x Alice’s Smart (USA) (Smart Strike {USA}) – On Account of Edinburgh Park Stud

Alice’s Smart has a 100 per cent record at stud with all three of her foals to race successful and includes this colt’s sister Miss Wonderland, a Group 3 performer.

Under the second dam Darling Alice (USA) (Northern Flagship {USA}) is the highly-regarded stakes-placed juvenile Glenfiddich (Fastnet Rock) and the family of the multiple Group 1 winner and sire Criterion (NZ), whose half-brother Comin’Through (Fastnet Rock) won the G1 Doomben Cup.

Lot 333 – American Pharoah (USA) x Aspen Falls (USA) (Hennessy {USA}) – On Account of Coolmore

This filly is a half-sister to the G1 Thousand Guineas winner Irish Lights (Fastnet Rock) and the G2 Silver Shadow S. winner Omei Sword (High Chaparral {Ire}). Another half-sister has produced the recent winner Lord Tropicana (Adelaide {Ire}).

There have been significant stakes updates from family members with Matterhorn (Ire) (Raven’s Pass {USA}) successful in the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge Round S. while Bangkok (Ire) (Australia {GB}) won the Listed Lingfield Winter Derby Trial and was third in the G3 Lingfield Winter Derby.
