In the build up to the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale Round 2, the Scone Yearling Sale and the Australian Weanling Sale, we will pick out three lots each day who have enjoyed pedigree updates in the lead-up to the auctions.

Today, we check out a daughter of Star Turn whose half-sister is an emerging star, a Snitzel colt who has received a Group 1 fillip from abroad and a weanling whose half-sister raced to a smart debut victory during the week.

Easter Round 2, Lot 11 - Star Turn x Logan’s Choice (Redoute’s Choice) - On account of Vinery Stud

This filly’s half-sister Vanna Girl (Husson {Arg}) has drawn further attention to her sibling with rousing performances during the Queensland winter carnival. She won the Listed Pal O’Neill S. and then confirmed her rising star status with an impressive victory in the G2 The Roses.

The second dam is a half-sister to the three-time Group 1 winner and sire Naturalism (NZ) and his Crystal Palace (NZ) (Palace Music {USA}) won the G1 Queensland Oaks. She also produced the G2 Villiers S. winner Palacio De Cristal (Encosta De Lago).

Easter Round 2, Lot 89 - Snitzel x Helena’s Secret (USA) (Five Star Day {USA}) - On account of Highgrove Stud

This colt is a half-brother to the G2 Australia S. winner Thronum and multiple winner Secretly (Sebring) and has also received significant boosts from afar since the catalogue went to print.

He is from the family of the recent French 2000 Guineas winner Victor Ludorum (GB) (Shamardal {USA}) and the Listed Santa Anita Possibly Perfect S. winner Dogtag (USA) (War Front {USA}). Champion sire Street Cry (Ire) also features on the pedigree page.

Sahra (Hinchinbrook) is a half-sister to Fairhill’s youngster and the 2-year-old made a stylish winning debut for Peter and Paul Snowden at Kembla Grange this week.
