Pedigree Boosters - National Weanling Sale

In today's Pedigree Boosters, we look at three foals on offer on the final day of the National Weanling Sale who have had an update to their page from recent winners.

The list includes colts by Newgate's Super One and Deep Field and Aquis' Spieth (NZ).

Lot 1059, Super One x Chosen Dove (Choisir) - On account of Raheen Stud

This chestnut colt is a half-brother to three winners, Sharapova (Sebring), Chosen Lad (Canny Lad) and Flight Commander (Commands) but it is a couple of extended members of the family who have added a bit to the page of late.

His dam, Chosen Dove is a half-sister to the granddam of the very much in-form Persan (Pierro), who has put together back-to-back impressive wins at Flemington recently. Also connected to this family is Fleet Dove (Not A Single Doubt), who has been a winner, firstly at the Sunshine Coast and then Doomben last Saturday.

Lot 1116, Spieth (NZ) x Mornington Mist (Manhattan Rain) - On account of Aquis Farm

This colt's family is very much in vogue thanks to the recent win of Expansion/Sacred Magnate (Foxwedge) in the Listed Macau Derby. He is a half-brother to the dam of this Spieth colt, Mornington Mist.

They are out of the stakes-placed Ekali (Torrential {USA}), who has also produced the stakes-performed pair Windjammer (Bernardini {USA}) and Mediterranean (Smart Missile). It’s the extended family of Group 1 winner Capitalist as well as stakes-winners Brayroan (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}) and Red Excitement (Excites) .

Lot 1126, Deep Field x Rock Robster (Fastnet Rock) - On account of Glastonbury Farms

The colt's dam, the Listed Tasmanian Oaks winner Rock Robster, is yet to produce a winner on the track, but the extended family is full of quality, including the very good filly Parlophone (I Am Invincible), who won the Listed Lightning S. at Morphettville last Saturday. That filly and this colt share their third dam, Nothing's Secret (USA) (Secreto {USA}).

That has been quite a successful family through the likes of Royal Discretion (Royal Academy {USA}), Roulettes (Flying Spur), Sun City, Vezalay (Shamardal {USA}), Albany Reunion (Fastnet Rock) and Fast Dragon (Fastnet Rock).
