Lightly-raced gelding Garrison (I Am Invincible) has topped the Inglis Digital September (Early) Online Sale, selling to Wyong trainer Kim Waugh for $95,000.
Trained by the Peter and Paul Snowden stable, the 4-year-old has had eight starts for two wins, a second and a third and was last seen taking out a handicap over 1200 metres at Gosford on August 28.
Waugh believes Garrison is an ideal candidate for the Provincial Championships.
“I had a chat to Peter and Paul about him, they both really liked him as a horse and his form is really good, he’s probably been a bit unlucky not to have won a couple more races actually so it’s nice to be taking him home,’’ Waugh said.

“We’ll get him here to the stables and at this stage keep him in work and keep him racing, given at his past three starts he’s won two and finished a third placing as well.
“He’s a Provincial Championships horse for us ideally. He’s got nice potential, he’s only had eight starts so it’s all ahead of him, we’ll just see where he ends up but that’s the long-term plan for him.’’
Garrison is the only foal to race out of winning Fastnet Rock mare Unassailed who herself is a half-sister to stakes-winning G1 Toorak H. runner-up Great Esteem (Redoute’s Choice) and Listed Port Adelaide Guineas winner High Esteem (Redoute’s Choice).
Further back, this is also the family of G1 Italian Derby winner Central Park (Ire) (In The Wings {GB}) and Group 2-winning filly Velvet Moon (Ire) (Shaadi {USA}) who produced G1 Dubai World Cup winner Moon Ballad (Ire) (Singspiel {Ire}).

Rubick mare The Spell was the second top lot of the Sale after she was purchased by Craig Rounsefell of Boomer Bloodstock on behalf of Daandine Stud for $85,000.
“There are some really good opportunities in the Inglis online Sales if you do your homework (and) the The Spell was a lovely find for Jan Clark's Daandine Stud,” Rounsefell said.
“She was an expensive yearling and looking back on my database, my notes showed she is a quality type so we are hoping she puts that into her future progeny.
“She is from a fast, 2-year-old family and is a perfect fit for the Daandine broodmare band."

Offered by Paul Perry Horse Training as agent, The Spell is out of Redoute’s Choice mare My Amelia making her a half-sister G1 Champagne S. winner The Mission (Choisir) and G3 Widden S. runner-up Smart Amelia (Smart Missile).
The Spell’s second dam is Group 1 winner Carry On Cutie (More Than Ready {USA}), while she is also related to G3 Maribyrnong Plate winner Vinicuna (I Am Invincible).
Purchased as a yearling for $420,000 at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, she had 10 race starts for one win and one placing.
Hickmott finds another Digital graduate
After a stakes success with Inglis Digital graduate Sky Punch (NZ) (Alamosa {NZ}), who won the $100,000 Listed Macdonald S. at Morphettville last month, Michael Hickmott secured Lake’s Folly (Pierro) for $80,000.
“The stable is going really well. We’ve got a number of people that are keen to join and I think this horse profiles so well for South Australia,” Hickmott said.
“Lake’s Folly is low rated, has high peak figures in his form using the form analysts’ work and he has plenty of upside.
“I’ll put him to the open market and attract some new owners as well hopefully, so it’s very exciting.
“I love buying with Inglis Digital, it’s a fantastic platform, extremely transparent and gives everyone everything they need to get a clear picture of the product being offered.”
