Race summary
Massimo (Sessions) justified his short-priced favouritism and landed his second black-type victory with a dominant win here.
The 4-year-old gelding enjoyed a comfortable run in second and tracked up to the leader around the bend, kicking clear to score by 1.8l.
Yeah Dardy (Demerit) ran on well to finish second with Snowchino (Maschino) coming home in third.
Pedigree notes
Massimo is out of the stakes performer Highest (Marscay) and he’s a half-brother to Altitude (Danzero), who produced the G1 Golden Rose S. winner and sire Darley Exosphere.
Highest is a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner and G1 Karrakatta Plate runner-up Tell Me Straight (Is It True {USA}) and to his Listed Crystal Slipper S. winning sister Genuine Girl. The G3 Lee Steere S. winners Destino (Bletchley Park {Ire}) and War Room (War Chant {USA}) are also members of this family.
