G1 Kennedy Oaks, $1,000,000, 2500m
Race summary
After three runner-up performances in a row, Personal (Fastnet Rock) finally got into the winner’s stall with a strong win here.
Ridden by champion jockey Damien Oliver, Personal settled towards the tail of the field throughout the run in a strongly run race, before veering out wide around the bend.
Salto Angel (NZ) (O’Reilly {NZ}) loomed up as the one to beat but Personal went straight past her at the 50 metre mark to win by 1.25l.
Salto Angel held on for second while Montefilia (Kermadec {NZ}) lost no admirers after racing close to the speed and holding on to finish 1.25l away in third.
Pedigree notes
Coolmore paid $640,000 for Personal from the Cressfield Stud draft at last year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Race summary
The Grahame Begg-trained Dosh (Rich Enuff) was extremely green in the final stages of the race but her raw ability was enough to secure her the win on debut.
The 2-year-old filly was quick away from the gates and went to the front with ease before looking like cruising home to win. However, when she was put under pressure by jockey Jordan Childs, she veered to the right significantly and almost cost herself the race.
She managed to stick her nose out at the right time though to win by 0.1l ahead of the fast-finishing Nice For What (Shalaa {Ire}), while Butter Blonde (Choisir) was another 1l away in third.
Pedigree notes
Dosh was purchased by Begg for $155,000 from the draft of Glenlogan Park at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and is the second foal to race out of stakes performed mare Raise Up (Shovhog).
Dosh’s third dam is Game Dame (Bold Aussie {USA}) who produced multiple Group winner Bold Promise (Luskin Star), while this is also the family of G1 VRC Oaks winner Dear Demi (Dehere {USA}), G1 Newmarket H. winner Miss Pennymoney (Brocco {USA}) and G1 Golden Slipper winner Capitalist.
Raise Up missed to Show A Heart in 2019 but produced a sister to Dosh this year.

Race summary
Progressive gelding Ancestry (The Brother’s War {USA}) brought up his first stakes win with a dominant performance here.
Trained by Phillip Stokes, Ancestry got away quickly and went straight to the lead under Michael Poy and was still cruising when the rest of his rivals came off the bit.
Poy revved him up in the final stages of the race but he looked the winner a long way from home as he went on to win by 1.25l.
Garner (Barbados) ran home well to finish second while Villami (Foxwedge) was another 0.2l away in third.
Pedigree notes
Ancestry was purchased by Dalziel Racing and Peter Moody Racing for $80,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the draft of Kooringal Stud and is one of five winners from five to race out of Maltese (Tale Of The Cat {USA}), making him a half-brother to G2 Skyline S. Winner Diamond Tathagata (Hinchinbrook).
His second dam is Listed winner Marwell Lady (Lord Seymour {Ire}) who also produced stakes winner Jestarella Boy (Rory’s Jester) and the stakes-placed Jolly’s Folly (Bluebird {USA}).
Maltese has a 2-year-old by Duporth and foaled a filly by Prized Icon this year.
