Looking Ahead - January 27

Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.

Today we look at three lightly-raced expensive yearling purchases who are out to break their ducks at Gosford and Geelong.

Gosford, Race 1, 2.20pm AEDT, Eve Security Services 3YO Mdn, $35,000, 1600m

Sarandos (I Am Invincible) was purchased by Aquis Farm and Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott for $400,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the draft of Murrulla Stud and he is the third foal out of Streama (Stratum).
