Pedigree Boosters - Inglis Classic Yearling Sale

In the build up to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, we have picked out three yearlings who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, the brother to a multiple Group winner who recently broke his Group 1 duck takes our eye, as well as colts by Mikki Isle (Jpn) and Nicconi whose relations have both added stakes wins to their records recently.

Lot 561 - Denman x De Chorus (Unbridled’s Song {USA}) - On Account of Torryburn Stud

This colt is a brother to star Hong Kong sprinter Hot King Prawn whose race record is already rich with performances at the top-level, however the page was significantly boosted when the 6-year-old nabbed his first Group 1 victory in the Centenary Sprint Cup last month.

The colt is also a half-brother to four other winners including G3 Star Kingdom H. and G3 Dark Jewel Classic winner Siren’s Fury (Myboycharlie {Ire}), while his second dam Val De Grace (NZ) (Centaine) was a winner of the Listed Fashion S.

Lot 303 - Mikki Isle (Jpn) x Serenade Lily (NZ) (King’s Best {USA}) - On Account of Arrowfield Stud

This colt is the 10th foal out of winning mare Serenade Lily who has produced three winners from five to race. Serenade Lily is out of Rose Of Tralee (NZ) (Sadler’s Wells {USA}), making her a half-sister to Star Of Tralee (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}), the dam of recent Listed Bagot H. winner Tralee Rose (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}).

Rose Of Tralee is also responsible for triple Group 1 winner Serenade Rose (NZ) (Stravinsky {USA}), while this is also the family of dual Group 1 winner Trekking (Street Cry {Ire}) and Listed Macau Derby Trial winner Winnie Star (Medaglia d’Oro {USA}).

Lot 610 - Nicconi x Final Star (Delago Brom) - On Account of Fernrigg Farm

The seventh foal out of placed mare Final Star, this colt received a booster to his pedigree with the win of General Beau (Brazen Beau) in last week’s Listed Blue Diamond Preview.

Final Star is out of Starlit Queen (NZ) (Sir Tristram {Ire}), who is the fourth dam of the stakes-winning 2-year-old colt, while she is also the dam of Listed Red Roses S. placegetter Palace Glow (Palace Music {USA}) who is responsible for Group 3 winner Red Colossus (Testa Rossa) and Nediym’s Glow (General Nediym).
