In the build up to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, we have picked out three yearlings who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Today, we look at a Hellbent colt whose half-brother has won twice recently, a son of No Nay Never (USA) whose relative has been a black-type winner and a Churchill (Ire) colt whose profile has been significantly lifted by a Group 1 triumph in Hong Kong.
Lot 61 – Hellbent x Jacquetta (Encosta De Lago) – On Account of Newhaven Park
Jacquetta was a five-time winner and stakes-placed and has a 100 per cent record at stud, having produced Rocquette (Hinchinbrook), who has twice been successful, and Turquoise Hope (Snitzel) has posted two wins and a placing for trainer Phillip Stokes since the catalogue went to print.
This colt’s dam is a sister to the G2 Tulloch S. winner Count Encosta and a half-sister to the G2 Alister Clark S. winner Lieutenant (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) with this season’s G2 Wakeful S. winner Victoria Quay (Dundeel {NZ}) is also on the pedigree page.
