Love her chances

Rosehill, G1 Coolmore Classic, $600,000, 1500m

The Richard and Michael Freedman-trained Forbidden Love (All Too Hard) can add a second Group 1 to her resume here after accounting for a quality field of fillies in the G1 Surround S. at Randwick. The way she powered through the line suggests that she will appreciate the step up to 1500 metres.

Lightly raced OTI mare Chaillot (Testa Rossa) was impressive winning the G3 Frances Tressady S. last start. The Archie Alexander-trained 4-year-old looks to get every chance here, from barrier 13 she can settle towards the rear with cover and produce out wide under Declan Bates.

All Saints’ Eve (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) was very good last start, flashing into a close third behind Think It Over (So You Think {NZ}) and Criaderas (Lonhro). The in-form Brenton Avdulla sticks and will give his mount every chance at Group 1 glory.

Icebath (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) has been consistent this time in, finishing third behind Krone (Eurozone) and Tailleur (Shooting To Win) at her respective starts. Last preparation she finished a close second in the $7.5 million The Golden Eagle at this track and trip behind star mare Colette (Hallowed Crown).

Rich Hips (Written Tycoon) was impressive first-up at Caulfield and can again measure up if she handles the clockwise Rosehill surface.

The Chris Waller-trained Subpoenaed (NZ) (Rip Van Winkle {Ire}) put to rest any concern over her wet track credentials last start, winning in fine fashion over 1300 metres. Expect her to be working home hard from back in the field.

Distance to suit

Rosehill, G2 Chandon Phar Lap S., $200,000, 1500m

Poland (So You Think {NZ}) surprised first-up, winning a strong edition of the G2 Autumn S. There he chased a strong speed and prevailed over the top and looked like he will appreciate getting out over further ground.

The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Impecunious (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) was unlucky on resumption, finishing a narrow fourth in the G2 Angus Armanasco S. after being held up at a vital stage in the straight.

Chris Waller’s Hungry Heart (Frankel {GB}) has been plagued by wide gates this preparation and should prove more competitive here.

Embolism (Shamus Award) finished close-up in the G1 Australian Guineas and an each way chance while Elizabeel (Power {GB}) can improve on two impressive Randwick performances this time in.

Arcaded strong hope

Rosehill, G3 Cerrone Magic Night S., $175,000, 1200m

Godolphin filly Arcaded (Street Boss {USA}) looks set to improve on her last-start failure in the G1 Blue Diamond S. There she found herself in the inferior ground from barrier one and prior to that had impressed, winning her first two starts comfortably.

Robodira (Husson {Arg}) was brave last-start, sticking on into fourth behind classy filly Four Moves Ahead (Snitzel) after covering extra ground. There’s no reason to suggest that she can’t measure up here.

Jamaea (Headwater) was average last start in the G2 Sweet Embrace S. after looking to have every chance in transit. This race looks a weaker contest on paper and with luck from back in the field expect her to be working nicely through the line under Tommy Berry.

Queen Of Wizardry (Not A Single Doubt) returns from a freshen-up after finishing fourth in the R. Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic. She attains the services of star young hoop Tom Marquand and can figure in the finish with luck.

Stay with Ingratiating

Rosehill, G3 Bowermans Commercial Furniture Pago Pago S., $175,000, 1200m

Last-start G1 Blue Diamond S. runner-up Ingratiating (Frosted {USA}) has proven himself a high-class juvenile, finishing in the quinella at all five of his race starts. The Godolphin galloper has drawn well and should go close.

The Team Hawkes-trained Hilal (Fastnet Rock) worked home well last start for second and he’s a proven wet track performer and should get every chance.

Tiger Of Malay (Extreme Choice) balanced up well to hit the line after being hampered over the concluding stages in the G2 Sliver Slipper. Now second-up and rising to 1200 metres should see him improve sharply.

R. Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Shaquero (Shalaa {Ire}) struggled at his Randwick return last start, failing to get through a deteriorating surface. He’s been up for an extended period but has the class to measure up on his day.

Colette well-placed

Rosehill, G3 Bisley Workwear Sky High S., $350,000, 2000m

Godolphin mare Colette (Hallowed Crown) drops right back in class here after a brave last-start defeat to superstar mare Verry Elleegant (NZ) (Zed {NZ}). Prior to that she finished the better of Kolding (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}) and over 1400 metres in a slick edition of the G2 Apollo S.

New Zealand stayer The Chosen One (NZ) (Savabeel) was impressive on resumption, finishing second over 2000 metres at Te Rapa. He will be improved for the run and can figure here under Kerrin McEvoy.

Spirit Ridge (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}) is shooting for a hat-trick of victories after accounting for capable stayer Wolfe (Jpn) (Novellist {Ire}) at his most recent outing.

Consistent mare Toffee Tongue (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) can peak here third-up after two sound performances this time in. Last preparation she nearly accounted for superstar stablemate Verry Elleegant en route to Group 1 success in the Turnbull S. at Flemington.

Wonderful prospect

Rosehill, G3 City Tattersalls Club Maurice McCarten S., $160,000, 1100m

Wandabaa (Wandjina) scored fresh last preparation, dominating her rivals on a Heavy 9 surface and has since trailed up well for her racetrack return. With only 53.5kgs to carry and Jason Collett on her back, expect a strong showing.

California Zimbol (I Am Invincible) is a classy type, having finished in the money at nine of his 12 career starts. The proven wet track performer looks likely to get all the favours from barrier five.

Victorian raider Order Of Command (Squamosa) goes well fresh, having claimed seven of his eight victories first or second-up. He’s also a proven wet track performer, boasting eight top three finishes from 10 attempts in the soft range.

Prime Candidate (Denman) looks likely to score a soft lead alongside Jungle Edge (Dubawi {Ire}). He can take up a position, crossing from barrier nine and prove hard to run down off the back of a strong Rosehill trial victory.

Tortoni Cherry ripe

Moonee Valley, G2 Dalton Consulting Engineers Alister Clark S., $200,000, 2040m

Cherry Tortoni (Night Of Thunder {Ire}) looks ready to fire third-up after returning from a spell in fine order. Last start, he produced the fastest final 400 and 200 metre splits to finish second behind Lunar Fox (Foxwedge) in the G1 Australian Guineas.

Parure (Fastnet Rock) is shooting for three on the trot here after accounting for a field of capable 3-year-olds in the G2 Autumn Classic. She will need to improve again and should appreciate the rise in trip.

Young Werther (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) has failed to fire this time in, finishing outside of the placings at two attempts and is now stepping out to a more suitable trip.

Grandslam (Myboycharlie {Ire}) hasn’t been disgraced this time in, despite failing to figure in the finish. Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace the capable colt can return to his best here rolling forward and holding up a prominent position under Jamie Kah.

Beltoro (Toronado {Ire}) found the line nicely last time out in a fiercely contested Australian Guineas and looks a strong chance.

Flying filly fancied

Moonee Valley, Listed Charter Keck Cramer Valley Pearl, $150,000, 1200m

The John Moloney-trained Scorched Earth (Nicconi) headlines a small but classy field of juveniles here. From barrier five the dominant last-start winner can push forward and hold a position under Damien Oliver.

Glitter ‘N’ Gold (Choisir) was impressive on debut, winning by 1.3l after stepping away slow. She now looks ready for the move up to 1200 metres after clocking the fastest last 400 metres and 200 metres in her Ballarat performance.

Dio (Zoustar) was well supported on debut, but failed to let down after finding a wet surface at Rosehill. Now second-up the $1.1 million brother to Sunlight (Zoustar) looks primed to improve under William Pike.

Predetermined (Headwater) has drawn the far outside, barrier nine, but gets the booking of Premiership-leading hoop Jamie Kah. She broke her maiden at Sandown and looks set to improve again second-up.

Ancestry tough to roll

Moonee Valley, Listed Ranvet Abell S., $150,000, 1200m

The Phillip Stokes-trained Ancestry (The Brothers War {USA}) drops back in class after failing to stick on a hot speed in the G1 Oakleigh Plate. He is stepping out over a more suitable six furlongs and the flashy 4-year-old can return to his winning ways.

Dollar For Dollar (High Chaparral {Ire}) looks the only other key speed influence in the race. Trained by Tony and Calvin McEvoy the rising 8-year-old has been a pillar of consistency, finishing in the money at 17 of his 31 starts.

Age Of Chivalry (NZ) (He’s Remarkable {NZ}) resumes here after finishing fourth in two strong spring Group 1s. The consistent 5-year-old flies over 1200 metres, having finished in the top three on five of six occasions.

Pandemic (Sepoy) proved himself over six furlongs at his last attempt on Boxing Day, accounting for a strong field in a slick time. He has since finished 1.7l behind the Group- performed 1000 metre specialist Fabergino (Maschino) down the Flemington straight. He returns here off the back of a Rosehill trial over 900 metres.
