The Tony Gollan-trained 5-year-old found herself is a sticky position, parked midfield on the rails in the capacity field. However, jockey Tim Clark never panicked, despite finding himself fronted with a wall of horses on straightening.
Clark continued to sit patient on his mount until the 300 metre mark, before producing with a strong run between subsequent placegetters Mizzy (Zoustar) and Dame Giselle (I Am Invincible).
Vangelic (Vancouver) and Icebath (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) worked home hard into fourth and fifth after settling back and in between runners.

The Chris Waller-trained filly found herself spotting the lead more than 10l with 600 metres to run but quickly worked through her gears, levelling up alongside eventual runner up The Irishman (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) with 100 metres to run before bursting clear to a soft victory.
Victorian raider Impecunious (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) worked home into third after finding herself smothered in between runners.
Last-start winner Poland (So You Think {NZ}) failed to stick on after setting a strong gallop, while fellow Victorian raider Embolism (Shamus Award) didn’t turn up, finishing a distant last.

On straightening, Arcaded moved alongside the front-runner Robodira (Husson {Arg}) and strode clear to beat the John O’Shea-trained filly, who dead-heated with Jamea (Headwater) for second. The well-supported Latino Blend (Hinchinbrook) worked home nicely into fourth.

The Chris Waller-trained galloper found himself in a lovely box seat position after stepping quickly into stride under Kerrin McEvoy. From barrier two he was able to hold a rails position before forcing his way out on straightening.
From there he continued to fend off a wall of fast finishing juveniles, including a brave Tiger Of Malay (Extreme Choice) who found himself caught three wide without cover.
Last start G1 Blue Diamond S. runner-up, Ingratiating (Frosted {USA}) failed to perform to expectations, finishing fifth, while the highly rated Team Hawkes-trained colt Hilal (Fastnet Rock) finished in seventh after working home the widest of all runners.

Star British hoop Tom Marquand has secured his first metropolitan autumn success, lifting the Chris Waller-trained Toffee Tongue (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) over the line in a thrilling blanket finish.
Marquand opted to settle further forward on his mount, taking up a midfield position alongside Mirage Dancer (GB) (Frankel {GB}). From there he continued to stalk the speed, prior to producing the mare with a powerful three-wide run.
Spirit Ridge (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}) was brave in defeat, finishing a narrow second after setting a strong gallop out in front, while The Chosen One (NZ) (Savabeel) worked home nicely into sixth after being produced in a five-wide position.
The well-supported Colette (Hallowed Crown) was gifted every chance by Rachel King and looked primed to run straight past the eventual winner on straightening. However, she failed to let down on the fast surface and finished outside the placings.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained 4-year-old was gifted a perfect ride by Kerrin McEvoy, settling down in a midfield position with cover while former Godolphin galloper Plague Stone (Lonhro) strung the field out at a strong gallop.
McEvoy refused to engage in the speed battle and produced his mount to the outside of the eventual third placed Order Of Command (Squamosa), who was found out fresh over the concluding stages.
Wandabaa (Wandjina) was impressive on returning finding the line with intent after settling back further than desired.
