Group 2-placed filly Wolves (Wolf Cry) has topped the Inglis March (Late) Online Sale and will be headed to the Kembla Grange stables of Anthony Mountney, whose ML Stables paid $250,000 for the 2-year-old.
Wolves, a homebred for Neville Murdoch's Larneuk Stud, has had four starts for Cranbourne trainer Greg Eurell, with a best performance when third in the G2 Blue Diamond Prelude (Fillies) when beaten 4.25l by Arcaded (Street Boss {USA}).
She also contested the G1 Blue Diamond S., finishing ninth, under 5l from winner Artorius (Flying Artie) and finished 12th in the G2 VRC Sires' Produce S. at her most recent start.
Wolves is out of Grand Manner (Grand Lodge {USA}), who has also produced the stakes performers Lalla Rookh (Street Cry {Ire}) and Waratone (Mossman) as well as four other winners.
Wolves
ML Stables’ representative Dick Inskip described Wolves as a future star.
“It’s very exciting for our team to get a filly like this. We’ll get her home, give her a spell and have a look at her and the team will decide what we do with her after that,’’ Inskip said.
“Anthony Mountney will train her, we’re thinking at this stage getting back to Melbourne in the spring over 1400 metres because we’re sure she’s a carnival horse.’’

Murdoch's Larneuk Stud also offered up another 2-year-old filly in the stakes-placed Wanaroo (Wandjina), and she is headed to the stables of Symon Wilde after the trainer and Pinhook Bloodstock paid $200,000 for her.
Wanaroo has shown considerable talent in her two starts for Eurell, finishing fourth at Moonee Valley on debut and then third in the Listed Festival S. at Flemington in February.
She boasts quite strong residual value with her dam, Taghrooda (Street Cry {Ire}), a half-sister to G1 Sir Rupert Clarke S. winner Rewaaya (Singspiel {Ire}). G1 Doomben Cup winner Sense Of Occasion (Street Sense {USA}) also features on her page.
“This filly is lightly raced and has it all ahead of her. She has run some very nice sectionals against quality opposition so there is a lot of upside there with her we think," Pinhook Bloodstock's, Dave Mee, said.

Larneuk’s Neville Murdoch was rapt with the outcome of the sale of both fillies.
“We’re very happy, the Inglis team did a great job getting it all done,’’ Murdoch said.
“I didn’t want to take them all around the countryside to get them to a sale so I thought I’d go online with Inglis Digital and it’s been a great success.
“Both these fillies are really nice horses and will give their new owners a lot of fun and I’m hoping I’m sitting here in a few months watching them win Group 1 races and I can cheer them both on.’’

Mountney's ML Stables, also parted with $130,000 for Oblique (I Am Invincible), a 2-year-old gelding who has been placed in two of his three starts for Peter and Paul Snowden.
Out of the R. Listed Inglis Classic winner Twist Tops (Beneteau), he was initially purchased for $260,000 by James Harron through the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
“Oblique came to us highly recommended, Anthony has seen her race a few times and was keen to get her into the stables,’’ Inskip said.
“We’re regular users of the Inglis Digital platform, we think it’s great and so easy to use.’’
Stakes-placed mare Arctic Shock (NZ) (Shocking) was sold for $110,000 to Yabby Dam Farms Pty Ltd. She has won three of her 26 starts and was placed in a G3 Alexandra S. with Chris and John Meagher. Her dam, Art Beat (NZ) (Captain Rio {GB}) was a Group 3 winner in New Zealand.
In total, four horses sold for $100,000 or more, taking the amount of six-figure lots sold through the platform since 2018 to 95.
