Yarraman Park requires a Farm Manager

A great management opportunity is now available with a well-established family owned and run thoroughbred enterprise in the Hunter Valley.

We are seeking a forward thinking self-motivated Farm Manager to coordinate all non-horse activities including but not limited to.

SKILLS:

To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following -

• Pasture management and establishment, ensure feed is available for peak periods, fertilizer, urea, weeds

• Operate the beef cattle enterprise, currently breeding 150 cows for supermarket trade

• All asset improvement and maintenance of fences, water systems, on-farm houses

• Operate irrigation when necessary, hard hose irrigators

• Feed logistics ensuring supplies, hay and hard feed are on hand

• With mechanic, coordinate vehicle maintenance and regular servicing

• Record keeping, chemical and feed store register

• Excellent communication skills

• Honesty and integrity

• Provide leadership for a small team

• Promote positive working relationships

• Confident in leading, training and mentoring a small team

• Co-ordinate contractors and suppliers

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:

Require or able to acquire -

• Chemcert certification

• First aid certification

• MR license

• Firearms license

• Some WHS experience

• Basic computer skills

Leneva Park requires a stallion handler

Leneva Park is looking for an experienced senior stallion handler for the upcoming season to join our team.

• On-farm accommodation provided, good pay rates and working for a family business

• Previous experience working with quality stallions is essential and references are required

• Start date is early May
