The third day of Goodwood sees the fillies take centre stage in the G1 Qatar Nassau S. at 12.35am AEST on Friday morning but before they line up in the barrier, OTI Racing looks take home the G3 Gordon S. at 12am AEST with Ottoman Emperor (Ire) (Excelebration {Ire}).
Joan Of Arc looks for more black type in Nassau S.
Race 4, G1 Nassau S., 12.35am AEST, Friday
G1 Prix de Diane winner Joan Of Arc (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) is one of six Group winners for Group 2 winner You’resothrilling (USA) (Storm Cat {USA}). The runner is a full sister to the two-time G2 Zipping Classic winner Taj Mahal (Ire) and to the Group 1-winning dam of Blue Soldier (USA) (War Front {USA}), who just returned to the races for trainer Annabel Neasham last weekend. This is also the family of brief Australian resident Storm The Stars (USA) (Sea The Stars {Ire}).
Shadwell-owned Zeyaadah (Ire) (Tamayuz {GB}) is out of a half-sister to the New Zealand stakes winner Polish Princess (GB) (Polish Precedent {USA}). Polish Princess stayed in New Zealand for her breeding career and produced three stakes winners and the G1 Australian Derby-placed Zebrowski (NZ) (Savabeel). The mare’s final foal is an unnamed 3-year-old full brother to Zebrowski.
Wootton Bassett’s (GB) dual Group 1 winner Audarya (Fr) comes into the Nassau S. off of a second in the G1 Prince Of Wales' S. at Royal Ascot. The mare is a granddaughter of multiple Group-placed Anabaa Republic (Fr) (Anabaa {USA}) from the family of another successful Wootton Bassett runner in the Group 3-placed Beagling (Fr).
Ottoman Emperor represents OTI in Gordon S.
Race 3, G3 John Pearce Racing Gordon S., 12am AEST, Friday
OTI Racing sends out Ottoman Emperor in the G3 John Pearce Racing Gordon S. after the colt won three of his four career starts. The 3-year-old is making his stakes debut in this start after making his racing debut in late March of this year. The colt’s family includes G3 Geelong Cup winner Ibicenco (Ger) (Shirocco {Ger}), who was raced by OTI Racing as well.
Stakes winner Sir Lucan (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) looks to become the second Group winner for Sparrow (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}). That mare’s first stakes winner Sir Dragonet (Ire) made a big splash in Australia with victories in the G1 Cox Plate and G1 Tancred S. this season.
Belardo’s (Ire) Belloccio (Fr) represents him on Thursday. The colt is already a stakes winner and is out of a half-sister to three stakes performers, including Group 2 winner and Group 1-placed Bathyrhon (Ger) (Monsun {Ger}).
Gubbass looks to give New Zealanders update in Richmond S.

Mehmas’ (Ire) two-time winner and G2 Unibet Richmond S. runner Gubbass (Ire) comes from the family of the New Zealand stakes-winning duo of Windborne (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}) and Darci’s Dream (NZ) (Darci Brahma {NZ}). Their grandam Latino l’Amour (Ire) (Diesis {GB}) spent much of her breeding career in New Zealand and had nine foals in the country with most being fillies who are still active in the breeding population.
