A homebred for Kevin and Jo Hickman (breeders of the multiple Group 1 winner Silent Achiever {NZ} who was also by O'Reilly {NZ}) and the Trillo family, Vernanme is one of the late Waikato Stud stallion O'Reilly's 95 stakes winners.
He is a full brother to the G1 Australian Derby and G1 Australian Guineas winner Shamrocker (NZ) (O'Reilly {NZ}) and the G2 The Roses winner Bohemian Lily (NZ) (O'Reilly {NZ}) as well as being a half-brother to the G1 Auckland Cup winner Rock Diva (NZ) (Lucky Unicorn).
He is the second last foal for his high achieving dam, her last being the unraced Boho (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) who was served last spring by Vadamos (Fr).
Vernanme is a member of the same branch of the prolific Kite (GB) (Bustard {GB}) family as the tough stakes winners Rock N Roll Kid (NZ) (Justice Prevails) and Fairy Tale (NZ) (Shinko King {Ire}).
He boasts crosses of the terrific mares Knight's Daughter (GB) (Sir Cosmo {Ire}) and Netherton Maid (GB) (Nearco {Ity}).
