Glenn Haven Ready2Race Highlights

Sponsored by
3 min read

Glenn Haven Thoroughbreds is a picturesque state of the art breaking and training facility with each of our lots educated under the tutelage of respected young horseman Matt Vella. Yearning, Dame Giselle and Classique Legend are all recent graduates who have passed through Matt’s system.

Glenn Haven Thoroughbreds is proud to showcase the work Matt and his team do with our Inglis Ready2Race draft. We take pride in the work we do and in the draft we have put together.

Glenn Haven's draft for the 2021 Inglis Ready2Race Sale includes 13 quality lots prepared by Matt Vella, including a mixture of proven sires: Deep Field, Snitzel, Capitalist and Toronado (Ire), and young stallions: Impending, Merchant Navy, Shalaa (Ire) and Hellbent.

Lot 41 – Snitzel x Palazzo Cristallo (Colt)

View pedigree

Lot 41 is a real-deal colt who should appeal to all racehorse buyers. All you need to do is watch his breeze, running 10.15s effortlessly. This ranks him a top three time overall for the Sale, and he has the looks to back it up. He is a serious prospect

Lot 41 - Snitzel x Palazzo Cristallo (colt)

Champion Sire Snitzel needs no introduction and is having a superb season even by his lofty standards with recent Group 1-winning colts Wild Ruler and In The Congo flying the flag. This colt could be his next Group 1 star. Remember, this Sale produced fellow Snitzel colt Odyssey Moon who win the R. Listed Inglis Nursery and placed in the G1 Sire’s Produce S. that year. The formula works.

Lot 86 – Shalaa (Ire) x Stellar Vinia (Colt)

View pedigree

Lot 86 is an attractive and athletic colt with a Group 1 update courtesy of his dad Shalaa (Ire) who is the sire of recent Group 1 winner No Speak Alexander (Ire). Shalaa’s stock is on the rise, having already produced top 2-year-old Shaquero who is bred on the same Shalaa/Redoute's Choice cross as this colt.

Lot 86 - Shalaa (Ire) x Stellar Vinia (colt)

This Calvinia (Varick {USA}) family is held in high esteem and improves with age which is exactly what we have seen with this late October foal. He has benefitted from time and is only hitting his straps now. With a deep pedigree, these colts on the up offer exciting opportunities to buyers.

Lot 116 – Headwater x Alama's Angel (Colt)

View Pedigree

Lot 116 is a speedy son of Champion second-season sire Headwater who breezed in a nifty 10.25s, eighth fastest overall in the Sale. An attractive individual who is light on his feet, he is well worth an inspection.

Lot 116 - Headwater x Alma's Angel (colt)

Young stallion Headwater has experienced a strong start to his stud career with Jamaea, Wisdom Of Water and Tristate all recent impressive performers. This colt is a half to two city-class horses and is a straightforward individual who is ready to find the winner’s circle.
