Getting a break close to home, Mileva (Headwater) was just too good for the boys - doing a great job recording the sixth success of her 12-start career.
Now a dual stakes winner (on the back of her Listed Manihi S. success in Adelaide in late March), Mileva was bred by the South Australian-based Tucker family who have been cheering on members of this family for generations, also breeding and racing her two-time winning dam Lady Einstein (Magic Albert), her multiple city-winning grandam Relativity (Geiger Counter {USA}) and her Listed WATC Gimcrack S.-winning third dam Western Zip (Zephyr Zip {NZ}).
A $42,000 graduate (purchased by Oopy MacGillivray) of the 2019 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale, Mileva is her dam's first foal with Lady Einstein (a half-sister to Mossman's Group winners Second Effort and Diamond Effort) subsequently producing a Nicconi (the 3-year-old Hans Albert who jumped out well during the spring for the Symon Wilde stable) and a Showtime colt, last spring paying a return visit to Headwater.
She is one of four stakes winners for Vinery Stud's up-and-coming young stallion, a G2 Silver Slipper-winning son of Exceed And Excel (Danehill {USA}). Headwater hails from the same family as Mileva's second dam sire Geiger Counter (USA); giving her a cross of the great mare Simon's Shoes (GB) (Simon Square {GB}) who appears again in Headwater via her grandson Windsor Slipper (GB).
Morphettville: Listed Christmas H., $107,250, 1200m
Saving lovely ground with his gutsy run along the rails, Outlaws Revenge (Reward For Effort) made it two stakes races in a row.
Bred by part owner Ralph Satchell, he is one of the nine stakes winners for his G1 Blue Diamond S.-winning sire who died only recently.
Outlaws Revenge's winning dam Wings Of Alice (Testa Rossa) is doing a good job with all four of her foals to race being winners with the others - Beyond Wealth (Mint Lane {USA}), Mint On Moseley (Mint Lane {USA}) and Violet (Mint Lane {USA}) between them winning 21 races.
In late September foaling a filly by I Am Immortal (I Am Invincible), Wings Of Alice also has a yet to be named 2-year-old filly by Palentino (Teofilo {Ire}).
Wings Of Alice's dam Easy Virtue (Baryshnikov) is a multiple city-winning half-sister to the Listed winner Firenze (Kenny's Best Pal), dam of the Group 3 galloper Tuscan Sling (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and grandam of the stakes winners Assertive Approach (Akeed Mofeed {GB}) and Kiwia (Reset).
Outlaws Revenge boasts crosses of three lovely mares within seven generations - Natalma (USA) (Native Dancer {USA}), Little Hut (USA) (Occupy {USA}) and Flirting (GB) (Big Game {GB}).
