Peter O'Brien: Going to Ireland to see my family.

POB: The mares based at Segenhoe Stud.

TDN AusNZ: Which first-season sire to stud did you send mares to this season, and why?

POB: King's Legacy. Bred by Segenhoe so thus a close attachment but more importantly, he ticks EVERY box.

TDN AusNZ: If you could be someone else in the industry for a day. Who would it be, and why?

POB: James Bester as I would rush off and get vaccinated.

TDN AusNZ: Who is your favourite racehorse of this year?

POB: Verry Elleegant.

TDN AusNZ: Who is your favourite stallion, and why?

POB: Danehill. I was fortunate to work with this breed shaper and he was such a kind, loving horse and that is why, not his exploits.

TDN AusNZ: Who is the most underrated stallion in Australasia?

POB: So You Think.

TDN AusNZ: Which stallion do you believe is the best physical type?

POB: King's Legacy.

TDN AusNZ: What was your best purchase in 2021?

POB: Emperor (Vinnie x Jolie Bay).
