In the build up to the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, we have picked out three yearlings who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.
Our three to watch today are a Capitalist filly whose family have been busy across the globe, a Trapeze Artist colt with a very current pedigree and a colt by Russian Revolution who has two recent stakes winners on his page.
Lot 77 - Capitalist x Global Dance (Ire) (Sadler's Wells {USA}), filly - On Account Of Element Hill
Already from a top-line international family, this filly has had a host of recent updates across her pedigree ahead of her sale next Tuesday. Her half-brother, Hopkins (Zoustar), sold for $200,000 at this Sale three years ago and recently won for the second time at Werribee. A trio of close relatives have also been recent victors in France, Faith Of Hope (Fr) (Olympic Glory (Ire}), Magic Sound (Ire) (Kingman {GB}) and Motorsport (Fr) (Motivator {GB}), while another one on the page, Herman Hesse (GB) (Frankel {GB}), was placed in a Listed race at Randwick before Christmas.
Her dam, Global Dream (Ire), is a three-quarter sister to multiple Group-winning stayer Wareed (Ire) (Sadler's Wells {USA}), from a family which has produced Group 1 winners Cerulean Sky (Ire) (Darshaan {GB}) and Moonstone (GB) (Dalakhani {Ire}), as well as Group winners US Army Ranger (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and Master Of Reality (Ire) (Frankel {GB}).

Lot 89 - Trapeze Artist x Grande Annee (USA) (Gone West {USA}), colt - On Account of Westbury Stud
This colt is a grandson of Group 1-winning Australian mare Bollinger (Dehere {USA}), a daughter of G1 Golden Slipper S., winner Bint Marscay (Marscay). Bollinger was exported to the United States before returning home later in her broodmare career, producing Group 2 winner Villermont (All Too Hard). Her American-bred daughters have produced Australian stakes winners Aim (Star Witness) and Flying Evelyn (Not A Single Doubt). Another of them, Grand Annee (USA), is the dam of this colt and four winners.
Among those winners is recent Sunshine Coast maiden victor Danerock (Fastnet Rock), who has added a bit of an update to his half-brother's page. Also adding some lustre is Roheryn (Lonhro), the Godolphin-trained grandson of Bint Marscay, who won the Listed Falvelon H. to earn a wildcard spot into Magic Millions Day.

Lot 184 - Russian Revolution x Kuchinskaya (Red Dazzler), colt - On Account of Kingstar Farm
Outlaws Revenge (Reward For Effort), who is also descended from this colt's grandam, Zippast (Lord Syemour {Ire}), has been in terrific form for Ryan Balfour, winning back-to-back Listed races in Adelaide of late and adding some extra black type to Lot 184's page. Outlaws Revenge's half-brother Violet (Mint Lane) also won a Listed race in Malaysia recently.
Other horses to feature Zippast as their third dam are Wealthy Investor (Capitalist), who was placed in the R. Listed Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic, and Randwick Boxing Day winner Lady Of Luxury (Criterion {NZ}). There are a host of stakes winners through the pedigree page, including Immortal Love and Ducimus, who are both by Russian Revolution's sire Snitzel.
