G2 Petaluma Hobartville S., $400,000, 1400m
It was a day of thrilling finishes with this race certainly not lacking in excitement as the short-priced favourite Anamoe (Street Boss {USA}) held off a late challenge from Hilal (Fastnet Rock).
Part of a good day for his Darley-based sire (and one of his 60 stakes winners), the Godolphin homebred is out of the G1 Australasian Oaks winner Anamato (Redoute's Choice) whose daughter, winner Anamba (GB) (Shamardal {USA}) is a Listed winner in Ireland.
Anamato is out of the stakes-placed Voltage (Whiskey Road {USA}) - dam of the G1 Oakleigh Plate winner Drum (Marauding) and grandam of the multiple Group 1 winner Grand Armee (Hennessy {USA}).
Last year paying a return visit to Street Boss (USA) (Street Cry {Ire}), Anamato (who raced overseas, running third in the G1 American Oaks) has a filly foal by Blue Point (Ire) (Shamardal {USA}) and a 2-year-old colt (Dartboard) by Shooting To Win (Northern Meteor).
A highlight of Anamoe's pedigree are strains of the close relations Machiavellian (USA), Halo (USA), Northern Dancer (Can) and Danehill (USA)... similar to Street Boss' other Saturday stakes winner Pinstriped.
G2 Fujitsu General Silver Slipper S., $250,000, 1100m
Giving a good kick and holding off a late challenge from the expensive debutant Magic, Best Of Bordeaux made it a quinella for Arrowfield's Champion Sire Snitzel (Redoute's Choice).
Unbeaten after two starts, the $425,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale graduate (who has breeder Gerry Harvey in the ownership) is one of the 118 stakes winners for his sire.
He is the second foal (the first being the yet to race $420,000 Fastnet Rock filly Left Bank in the Hayes stable) for the city winner Chateau Cheval (High Chaparral {Ire}) who was served last spring by Written Tycoon (Iglesia) having unfortunately missed in two previous visits to Snitzel.
Chateau Cheval is a daughter of the stakes-placed Lady Capel (Last Tycoon {Ire}), dam of four stakes winners - the G1 Chipping Norton S.-winning successful sire Casino Prince (Flying Spur), the G3 Tramway H. winner Tagus (Encosta De Lago), the dual Listed winner Lord Of The Land (Timber Country {USA}) and the Listed Hinkler H. winner Metallurgical (Redoute's Choice).
Also able to claim amongst his relations the Group 1 winners Onemorenomore (Red Ransom {USA}) and Green Birdie (Catbird), Best Of Bordeaux boasts a cross of the great mare Best In Show (USA) (Traffic Judge {USA}) via Redoute's Choice (Danehill {USA}) and Try My Best (USA) (Northern Dancer {Can}).
G2 Rosehill Bowling Club Millie Fox S., $200,000, 1300m
Expat (NZ) (Makfi {GB}) enhanced her already impressive record with this, her second success at stakes level on the back of her G3 Belle of the Turf S. victory late last year.
An eight-time winner from 13 starts, Expat is a homebred for Tony McGrath by Dubawi's (Ire) (Dubai Millennium {GB}) well-travelled multiple Group 1-winning son Makfi (GB). One of that stallion's 43 stakes winners, she is out of the lightly raced Utmost Caution (Galileo {Ire}), also dam of the stakes-placed Mental Telepathy (NZ) (Shocking).
Served last spring by another high-class son of Dubawi in Darley's Ghaiyyath (Ire) having foaled a colt by Ocean's Fourteen (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}), Utmost Caution has a yearling filly by yet of another of Dubawi's sons in Akeed Mofeed (GB). It is no surprise that Tony McGrath is fond of this sireline having been one of the lucky owners of one of Dubawi's best locally bred runners - the dual Group 1 winner Srikandi.
Whilst Makfi's dam is bred on a cross of Never Bend (USA) (Nasrullah {Ire}), Utmost Caution carries a strain of his half-brother Bold Reason (USA) (Hail To Reason {USA}) - the G1 Kentucky Oaks heroine Lalun (USA) (Djeddah {Fr}) duplicated.
Listed Parramatta Cup, $140,000, 1900m
What great heart Mightybeel (NZ) (Savabeel) has been racing in, this win - his second at stakes level - his sixth from 15 starts and his third from his last five starts.

He is the second foal for the unraced Super Power (NZ) (Alamosa {NZ}) whose grandam Cathedra (GB) (So Blessed {GB}) is the grandam of superstar galloper Might And Power (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}).
A descendant of the legendary mare Selene (GB) (Chaucer {GB}), Mightybeel is bred on a 6 X 6 cross of his own sixth dam, the wonderful mare All Moonshine (GB) (Bobsleigh {GB}) - third dam of Sir Tristram (Ire) (Sir Ivor {USA}).
Another strength to his pedigree is a 5 X 6 cross of Special (USA) (Forli {Arg}), dam of Nureyev (USA) (Northern Dancer {Can}) and grandam of Sadler's Wells (USA) (Northern Dancer {Can}).
Super Power returned to Savabeel (Zabeel {NZ}) in 2021 with her two previous foals being colts by Time Test (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}).

True Attraction (More Than Ready {USA}) came with a barnstorming run to record his second win at stakes level with the 2019 Listed Aquanita S. his first and his eighth overall.
A homebred for Bob and Sandra Peters, the 6-year-old chestnut is one of the 213 stakes winners for his sire, one of the great shuttling success stories.
His dam is the stakes-placed multiple city winner Significant (Flying Spur) whose son State Prosecutor (More Than Ready {USA}) won the Listed Belmont Guineas. Significant is one of 10 winners (from as many foals to race) for the dual city winner Dark Hope (At Talaq {USA}) - also dam of the G2 Perth Cup winner Crown Prosecutor (Grand Lodge {USA}) and three stakes placegetters; the other two being Dark Delight (Flying Spur) and Kennedy (Personal Flag {USA}).
Served last spring by More Than Ready's (USA) son Better Than Ready, Significant had a run of bad luck at stud prior to producing a Jungle Cat (Ire) (Iffraaj {GB}) colt last spring.
True Attraction is one of 10 More Than Ready stakes winners the G1 Golden Slipper winner Sebring is the best of them out of Flying Spur mares.
