G3 Bellmaine S.-placed mare Paul’s Regret (Canford Cliffs {Ire}) was victorious in Sunday’s $175,000 Swan Hill Cup.

Ridden by Jarrod Fry, the Peter Chow-trained 5-year-old reigned supreme over G2 Autumn Classic hero Adelaide Ace (NZ) (Savabeel) and the well-fancied Proconsent (Proart).

American Pharoah (USA) gelding Patton notched the second win of his career when saluting at Hawkesbury on Sunday.

The Bjorn Baker-trained 3-year-old justified market support to topple Good Omens (So You Think {NZ}) and Aramis (Contributer {Ire}) in the 1500-metre Class 1 contest.

The terminally ill wife of Alligator Blood's (All Too Hard) owner Allan Endresz has passed away after a brave battle against bowel cancer.

Joy Endresz passed away surrounded by family at their Albury home on Sunday, less than 24 hours after Alligator Blood's stirring G1 Stradbroke H. victory at Eagle Farm.

Endresz had endured a long-term battle against the cancer, but bravely fought on, with the family often using Alligator Blood as a reason to bring people together in her final years.

Tourneur set for back surgery

Dominic Tourneur is set for an extended stint on the sidelines, with the South Australian-based jockey to undergo back surgery in the coming days.

The 47-year-old has managed a badly damaged spinal nerve over the past few years, however, the pain has recently become too much to bear.

Young Armidale Stud stallion Alpine Eagle registered his 20th winner of the season by the way of Flying To Paris and Isafjordur’s maiden victories at Devonport on Sunday.

Vague provides trainer with early birthday present
