Entries open for 2023 Magic Millions Yearling Sales series

Entries for the Magic Millions 2023 Yearling Sale Series are now open, with the auction houses’ Gold Coast Yearling Sale, the jewel in their crown, set to get underway on January 10.

This year’s edition of the Gold Coast sale finished with record numbers, with Book 1 closing with an incredible average of $294,476, while over the course of the sale a total of $228,807,500 was spent on 785 yearlings.

Meanwhile, Magic Millions' other sales in 2022 also experienced impressive growth, with the Adelaide Sale smashing through the $20 million aggregate mark for the first time in its history, while the Perth Sale closed with a huge gross of $13,078,500.

Magic Millions' Managing Director Barry Bowditch said the auction houses’s performance during last year’s yearling sales gives him confidence they can go to another level again in 2023.

The Magic Millions raceday, which will take place on January 14, and is headlined once again by the $2 million races, the R. Listed Magic Millions 2YO Classic and the R. Listed Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, but the lucrative card will further bolstered in 2023 with the inaugural running of the $1 million ‘The Syndicate’ and $500,000 ‘The Debut’.
