Coolmore Stakes aim for Crosswinds
The G1 Coolmore Stud S. remains the ultimate target for impressive Moonee Valley winner Crosswinds (Written Tycoon) according to co-trainer Sam Freedman.
“He just had a bit of a freak accident leading into the Showdown,” co-trainer Sam Freedman told Racing.com after the James Harron Bloodstock-raced colt had a soft jump-out at Werribee on Friday.
“We feel that he was probably a much better horse than the horse we won the race with in King’s Consort, which was a little disappointing that he couldn’t get up for that race.

“He’s had a little time off. He went up to Queensland and he’s come back very well.
“His action is perfect and he seems in a good space. He seems like a lovely laid-back horse.
“He might appear in a race like the McKenzie first-up and start to track a path towards the Coolmore.”
