Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
We kick off the day with well-bred Hawaii Five Oh (I Am Invincible), who will attempt to break his maiden at Wyong. Meanwhile, Custodian (Shalaa {Ire}) will look to go one better than his debut sixth at Moe. For our final pick we return to Wyong for Bringonthebubbles (Sebring) and she will look to go better than her previous two second-place finishes.

Hawaii Five Oh, 3-year-old colt (I Am Invincible x Aloha {Encosta De Lago})
Hawaii Five Oh will make his debut at Wyong on Thursday with the colt set to jump from barrier one with Nash Rawiller in the saddle.
Raced by breeder Gerry Harvey and Strawberry Hill Stud, the colt is the sixth foal out of Aloha, who landed eight races spearheaded by a triumph in the 2011 G1 Coolmore Classic winner. The mare has produced four winners including the Hawaii Five Oh’s ill-fated half-sister Libertini (I Am Invincible).

Aloha herself is daughter of Group 3 winner Tennessee Midnight (Danehill {USA}) and she is also the grandam of fellow Group 3 scorer My Emotion (NZ) (Savabeel).
Further back this is the same family as dual Group 1 winner Malaguerra (Magnus) and Seabrook (Hinchinbrook), who landed the 2018 edition of the G1 ATC Champagne S.
Wyong, Race 4, Gurney Financial Services 4YO and Up Mdn H., 2.20pm AEST, $40,000, 1100m
Bringonthebubbles, 4-year-old mare (Sebring x Bubbleberry {State Of Liberty {USA}})
Trainer Bjorn Baker will be hoping Bringonthebubbles can go one better than her previous two starts when she takes her chance at Wyong. The mare will be ridden by Rachel King and he will break from barrier six.
The mare was snapped up by BRT Bloodstock and James Clarke Bloodstock for $40,000 at Round 2 of the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in 2020 and she is out of winning Statue Of Liberty (USA) mare Bubbleberry and she has produced two winners.

Bubbleberry is out of the winning Hussonet (USA) mare Bubble Below, making Bringonthebubbles a three-quarter sister to G1 Chairman’s Sprint Prize Lucky Bubbles (Sebring).
Further back this is the same family as Soqrat (Epaulette), who landed three Grade 1s in South Africa, while Group 2 winner Gunnison (Not A Single Doubt) also features on the page.
Looking Back
Our first selection, Treaty Of Paris (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) finished 10th at Te Rapa, while our second pick was Chairman (Snitzel) and he ran a nice race to give our looking ahead followers a win in the first at Kembla Grange.
The final selection of the day was Terrestar (Zoustar) and she finished just outside the placings with a respectable fourth.
