Star Present headlines Magic Millions Online Sale
Four-time-winning mare Star Present (Alfred Nobel {Ire}) was the headline act of the Magic Millions Online Sale after she was purchased by Marina Investments for $70,000 on Friday.

The daughter of Alfred Nobel (Ire) is out of Special Kiseki (Special Bond) making her a half-sister to dual Group 3 winner Special Reward (Demerit) and fellow Group 3 winner Showy Chloe (Alfred Nobel {Ire}), while she also counts Listed winner El Rijes (Eternity Range) among her half-siblings.
Special Kiseki herself is a half-sister to Saxabelle (Saxon) and she is herself a half-sister to Sheeza Belter (Gold Standard).
Snitzel filly shines in trial
Tabata Set, a filly by Snitzel, landed one of two juvenile heats on the Warwick Farm polytrack on Friday after she clocked 43.74s for the 740-metre trial.
Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, the 2-year-old was purchased by her trainers for $380,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling in 2022 from the Arrowfield Stud draft.

The filly is out of winning Shamardal (USA) mare Time Check (USA) making her a sister to stakes-placed 3-year-old Willinga Beast, while this is also the same family as multiple Group 1-winning Alizee (Sepoy) and Group 1 winner Astern, who stands at Darley’s Kelvinside base.
Well-related Exceed And Excel wins trial
The Godolphin-owned Barber, a colt by Exceed And Excel, landed the second juvenile trial of the morning, covering 740 metres in 44.63s.
The James Cummings-trained 2-year-old defeated his stablemate Stanislaus (Exceed And Excel) by 0.47l. Barber is out of Listed winner Trim (Lonhro), making him a sister to Manicure (Exceed And Excel).
Eduardo warms up for The Everest with trial win
Eduardo (Host {Chi}) made the most of what might prove a rare opportunity to gallop on a reasonable surface in Sydney over the next few days when he trialled on the synthetic at Warwick Farm on Friday.
Heavy rain is forecast over the entire weekend in Sydney from early Friday afternoon, which could place Saturday's Randwick meeting in doubt with the track already rated a Heavy 10.
It also threatens to complicate the final preparations for Saturday week's The Everest.
Barbie’s Fox headlines Inglis Digital catalogue
Group-placed Barbie’s Fox (Foxwedge) is one of a number of appealing entries in the Inglis Digital October Early Online auction.
The diverse catalogue - which is now online and open for bidding at inglisdigital.com – of 256 entries consists of 160 racehorses (including 83 race fillies), 53 broodmares, 20 yearlings, 19 racehorse shares and four unbroken stock.

A winner at two and three, Barbie’s Fox was third in the G2 Thousand Guineas Prelude over 1400 metres at Caulfield as a spring 3-year-old with the likes of Snapdancer (Choisir), Missile Mantra (Smart Missile), La Falaise (Canford Cliffs {Ire}), Lyre (Lonhro), Flit (Medaglia D'Oro {USA}), Tenley (Medaglia D'Oro {USA}) and She Shao Fly (Epaulette) in behind.
Shalaa and Jukebox colts clock quickest time
On Thursday, at Eagle Farm's breeze-up session, vendors presented members of their draft to prospective buyers and there were some impressive workouts ahead of the Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs In Training Sale to be held Tuesday, October 25 at the Gold Coast.
A filly by Jukebox (Lot 8) from Berkeley Park Stud clocked 10.56s and colts by Shalaa (Ire) (Lot 124 in 10.58s) and Lean Mean Machine (Lot 128 in 10.67s) performed well.
The A List Stud draft provided a number of quality individuals including fillies by Pride Of Dubai (Lot 86 in 10.68s), I Am Invincible (Lot 32 in 10.69), Exosphere (Lot 70 in 10.83) and Ribchester (Ire) (Lot 104 in 10.84) and a colt by Toronado (Ire) (Lot 24 in 10.85).
A final breeze-up session will be held at the Eagle Farm Racecourse on October 21.
