Highlight Hips: Part 1

Hip 183: Sail By (USA) (Astern - Fly By {USA})

A 2-year-old Group 2 winner on turf that showed plenty of ability and trained on to be a Graded stakes performer at three. By Golden Rose winner Astern, who is out of one Australia’s top-producing mares Essaouria (Exceed And Excel) and is the sire of G1 Caulfield Guineas winner Golden Mile (Astern).

Hip 185: Hidden Connection (USA) (Connect {USA} - CJ's Gal {USA})

One of the leading 2-year-old fillies of her year, dominant debut winner by 7.5l over 5.5 furlongs. Impressive winner of the G3 Pocahontas S. in the fastest time ever by 9l, fourth in the G1 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies and a Graded stakes performer at three. Granddaughter of Curlin (USA) from the family of Group 1-winning sprinter Capo Bastone.

Hip 188: Invincible Gal (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire} x Alsindi {Ire})

Multiple stakes-placed 2-year-old and Graded staked-placed at three, that showed considerable talent. Daughter of outstanding European sire Invincible Spirit (Ire), broodmare sire of Masked Crusader (Toronado {Ire}). Out of Group 3 2-year-old-winning mare Alsindi (Acclamation (GB)). From a consistent Graded stakes-producing family.

Hip 191: Kalifornia Queen (Ger) (Lope De Vega {Ire} x Kaldera {Ger})

Group-winning mare in Europe and Group-placed in the E.P. Taylor in North America. By leading international sire Lope De Vega (Ire), out of a Classic-winning mare, from a significant producing German family.

Hip 194: Lady Mystify (USA) (Bernardini {USA} x J. Quirk {USA})

Graded stakes winner with plenty of talent and good looks, by leading broodmare sire Bernardini (USA). From a big US family that continues to produce stakes horses.

Hip 195: Lady Rocket (USA) (Tale Of The Cat {USA} x Allons Danser {USA})

Extremely fast speed mare with great shape. She ran one of the fastest speed figures by a female of the year, running a 107 Beyer Speed figure when leading all the way in the G3 Go For Wand H. By leading sire of 2-year-olds in Tale of the Cat (USA).

Hip 197: Lemieux (USA) (Nyquist {USA} x Polish A Diamond {USA})

Two-year-old stakes winner in the Juvenile Fillies S. by 6.5l. By Champion 2-year-old in Nyquist (USA). Half-sister to Group 1 stakes-placed filly Brilliant Cut (USA) and from the family of multiple Grade 1 winner Life is Good (USA).

Hip 204: Miss Alacrity (USA) – (Munnings {USA} x Just Jenda {USA})

Precocious 2-year-old that won on debut by 10l, followed that win with a stakes victory on turf in the Colleen S. By Munnings (USA), out of MGSW Just Jenda (USA). From the immediate family of 2022 2-year-old Graded stakes winner Just Cindy (USA) (Justify {USA}).
