Scone Race Club - Event Manager

Scone Race Club, located in the ‘Horse Capital of Australia’ is a leading premier country race club supported by famous Hunter Valley breeding studs in a stunning location. The annual Scone Cup, a two-day standalone metropolitan carnival, is the highlight of the events calendar at Scone Race Club bringing together the community and the horse industry in a highly anticipated, prestigious event.

In an effort to expand and maximise the potential of the events and hospitality side of the business, Scone Race Club seeks to employ a dedicated and experienced Events Manager.

The Role

Supported by the CEO, the Events Manager, will grow and expand the already impressive events and hospitality business providing high-end hospitality with exceptional levels of service and building lasting and strong relationships with all stakeholders. During events, you will manage a team of event staff, plan with impeccable detail and run events with an effortless, problem solving, thinking on your feet kind of magic.

About You:

To be successful in this role, ideally, you will have:

• Experience in an Events Management role with high-end hospitality service standards.

• Proven ability to effectively manage a team with the ability to engage and motivate your team.

• Exceptional attention to detail, high-level organisation and time management skills with proven tools and processes to help keep your events on track.

• Outstanding communication skills and an innate ability to talk and relate to anyone.

• An energetic, can-do attitude with the ability to work when required including weekends.

• High level of computer literacy including solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

This is a unique opportunity supported by on-site administration, the grounds team, the CEO and the board as well as offsite marketing, social media and graphic design teams and Racing NSW. Your development in the role will be supported through relevant training opportunities.

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
