This role suits a couple with any combination of skills in breeding, farming, gardening, horse person and/or administration work. Your prior experience will give you a thorough understanding of all the nuances and expectations that accompany these types of roles of working on a farm.
Ideally, your background will see you having worked on rural properties, but especially with horse breeding experience. Safety for the horse and handler will be at the forefront of everything you do as well as ensuring the highest standards of animal health and welfare.
It is not necessary for both parties to have experience in all of the above, however, it is essential that one partner can cover horse care whilst the other can cover off either farming/truck driving, gardening or stud administration.
These roles require pragmatic people who have the energy, flexibility, adaptability and are highly organised. Both must be very well-planned and bring a can-do attitude. Working individually and as a team is paramount to the success of this opportunity. A couple who can create and sustain working cultures of excellence both internally and externally on farm will hold you in great stead. You are capable when required, most importantly you are down to earth and enthusiastic with high levels of initiative and integrity.
You will be passionate about what you do, organised and engaging in your approach with a refined eye for detail.
