HQ Bloodstock Insurance - Account Executive
HQ Insurance and our subsidiary business Magic Millions Insurance offers bloodstock insurance to clients within Australia, New Zealand and many parts of the world. Our role as a broker dictates that we do the legwork for our clients by sourcing the best cover from specialist underwriters, saving our clients time and money.
All of our team are actively involved in the horse industry and have been for the greater part of their working lives. This opportunity allows the successful candidate to be a part of the highly desirable HQ and Magic Millions Insurance team whilst working in an office environment in our North Sydney head office or our Scone base.
The opportunity:
A career opportunity has become available for a highly motivated, committed and driven individual to manage a portfolio of diversified clients.
The role will entail:
• Managing all aspects of client servicing to maintain and grow an existing book of business
• Identifying and contributing to process improvement initiatives
• The opportunity to travel interstate and attend thoroughbred auction sales
• Day off in lieu compensated for working on a weekend or public holiday
• Data entry (new policies, quotations, renewal invitations, endorsements, etc.)
• Processing, updating and managing electronic documents
• Credit control management
• Liaising with horse studs, trainers and vets
• General administration and assistance to senior brokers and management
• Assistance with claims, injury and illness advices
• On the job training provided
• Work from home one day per week after training/probation can be negotiated
The candidate that HQ Insurance is seeking should be/have:
• Account Executive experience in insurance/breeding/racing and/or knowledge of the thoroughbred industry. At least one is required, both is highly desirable
• A history of client and stakeholder relationships
• Tier 1, Tier 2 or a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) is desirable whilst other qualifications will be viewed positively
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional, reliable and the ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance
• A team player
Salary commensurate with experience plus annual bonus incentives.
