Looking Ahead - December 23

3 min read

Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.

Our Looking Ahead selections for Friday are all 3-year-olds and all are on debut in Victoria. Our first two runners are at Yarra Valley and we finish the day with a Playing God filly at Cranbourne.

Yarra Valley, Race 2, 1pm AEDT, Bet365 Protest Promise Mdn Plate, $27,000, 1200m

Nakedness, 3-year-old gelding (So You Think {NZ} x Nothin’ On Me {NZ} {Not A Single Doubt})

Nakedness is the first foal of a 1400-metre winner and Listed placegetter, while his grandam, Tanqueray (NZ) (Red Ransom {USA}), who is a half-sister to the six-time winner Brave Kid (Elusive City {USA}), won over 2100 metres.
