The catalogue for the 2023 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale was released on November 21, 2022, and since then, a host of yearlings being offered at Karaka next week have had their pedigree enhanced, which is important information for vendors and buyers alike.
Lot 33 - Hellbent x Another Sunday (Redoute’s Choice), colt - on account of Carlaw Park
Since the catalogue when to print this colt’s half-sister Blanc De Blanc (I Am Invincible) broke her maiden at Newcastle, a performance she followed up with a third-place finish in the R. Listed Inglis Nursery on December 10.
One of only three Hellbent’s set to be offered at Karaka next week, the colt is out of the winning Redoute’s Choice mare Another Sunday and she has produced a further two winners in addition to Blanc De Blanc.
Another Sunday herself is a daughter Bella Sunday (Sunday Silence {USA}) and she also produced Group 1 winner Oohood (I Am Invincible), this Hellbent colt’s three-quarter brother. Bella Sunday is also the dam of Breakfast In Bed (Hussonet {USA}) and she in turn produced dual Group 1 winner and now Coolmore Stud-based sire King’s Legacy.
