Kallos stakes Goodwood claims
Godolphin Australia's 4-year-old Kallos (Medaglia D’Oro {USA}) marked his third-straight victory since being gelded, bolting up in the G3 R N Irwin S. at Morphettville Parks on Saturday, and will now be aimed at the G1 The Goodwood back at Morphettville on May 20.
A winner of the G2 Danehill S. as a 3-year-old when still an entire, Kallos was back to his best according to stable foreman Sean Keogh.
“It’s really paying off now, he’s three on the bounce,” Keogh said of gelding the horse. “He’s looking like he’s back to the form he had as a 3-year-old.”
Pride Of Dubai keeps kicking
A rich vein of form for Coolmore’s Pride Of Dubai continued on Saturday when his 4-year-old son My Khalifa won the Listed City Of Adelaide H. (1400 metres) at Morphettville Parks.
Trained by Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle, My Khalifa was winning his eighth race, and gained black-type success at his first attempt. In doing so, he gave Pride Of Dubai a 19th stakes winner.

Coolmore are yet to announce his 2023 fee, but last season Pride Of Dubai stood for $16,500 (inc GST), and has enjoyed breakthrough Group 1 wins from Bella Nipotina and William Haggas raider Dubai Honour (Ire) this season.
I’mlovin’ya takes out Redelva, may head to Sangster
The Mick Price and Michael Kent (Jnr)-trained I’mlovin’ya (Capitalist) won the Listed Redelva S. at Morphettville Parks on Saturday, her second victory at that level.
A winner of the Listed Talindert S. as a juvenile, I’mlovin’ya failed to fire in the spring, but may be heading for bigger targets after she scored an impressive 1.7l win over Seven Veils (Shalaa {Ire}).
“She hasn’t won for a while, which has been a bit distressing,” co-trainer Mick Price said after the race. “We had a nice spell and she’s furnished, and she’s a more mature 3-year-old filly now.
“She goes good fresh, and the fillies’ and mares’ Group 1 is in two weeks time. I’ve got to get her home and bring her back, so we’ll see what happens there,” he added in reference to the G1 Robert Sangster S. back at the same track on May 6.
Out of the Listed winner Loveyamadly (Bel Esprit), I’mlovin’ya was bred and retained by United Syndications. Capitalist stands at Newgate Farm for $77,000 (inc GST) in 2023.
Stakes winner 7 for Contributer
Mapperley Stud’s Contributer (Ire) notched his seventh stakes winner on Saturday when 3-year-old filly She's A Con (NZ) won the Listed Warstep S. (2000 metres) at Riccarton Park.

Bred by Raffles Dancers, she was purchased by her trainers, Kelvin Tyler and Aimee Tyler, for NZ$800 at the 2020 Gavelhouse June Online Auction, and subsequently withdrawn from the 2021 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale.
She’s out of Rocks For Me (Fastnet Rock), who was unraced, but is a half-sister to G1 Blue Diamond S. winner Sleek Chassis (Flying Spur).
New Mandate back up and running
Off the mark on his fourth start on Australian soil, Chris Waller’s New Mandate (Ire) (New Bay {Ire}) led home a quinella for the trainer in Saturday’s G3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup (1600 metres), as he flew home to beat Desert Icon (Fr) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) by 1.88l.
Purchased by Elliott Bloodstock Services at the 2019 Arqana Deauville August Yearling Sale for €35,000 (AU$58,000), New Mandate was a winner of the G2 Royal Lodge S. as a juvenile in the UK for his previous trainer, Ralph Beckett.

Now a 5-year-old, Waller’s Assistant Trainer and Racing Manager Charlie Duckworth reported that a virus held back New Mandate after a stellar 2-year-old campaign which earned him a trip to the Breeders’ Cup.
China Horse Club import strikes first time
Princess Grace (USA) (Karakontie {Jpn}), an expensive 6-year-old imported mare, found victory for Chris Waller when bursting through under Nash Rawiller in the G3 Hawkesbury Crown.

A Group 2 winner in the United States, she was placed in a Group 1 on her final start there before being sold to China Horse Club for US$1.7 million (AU$2.54 million) at the 2022 Fasig-Tipton November Sale.
Jigsaw goes all the way at Mornington
Cindy Alderson’s talented 4-year-old Jigsaw (Manhattan Rain) recorded a smart, front-running victory in the Listed Hareeba S. at Mornington. After disappointing in the G1 William Reid S. last time out, the gelding has now earned a long break according to his trainer, and can look forward to breaking the $1 million prizemoney barrier in the spring.
“It was always the intention to go out after this race,” Alderson said. “He’ll have nearly two or three months off. It worked well for him last time and we’ll see where he fits in the spring.”
Supido scores Saturday double
Widden Stud’s second-season sire Supido notched two winners across Australia on Saturday. Clinton McDonald’s 3-year-old gelding Fasuto made the field of the third race at Mornington, a handicap event, after several scratchings, and won his third race from seven starts.

He was preceded by Rex Lipp’s Templemore, another 3-year-old gelding, who won his second race at Dalby.
Supido stands at Widden Stud’s New South Wales property for $19,800 (inc GST) in 2023.
MacGregor goes again in Canterbury Gold Cup
Trained, owned and co-bred by Alby MacGregor at Opaki, 7-year-old gelding Times Ticking (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) backed up his Listed Easter Cup (1600 metres) victory seven days ago with a dominant performance in the G3 Canterbury Gold Cup (2000 metres), the feature event of the day at Riccarton on Saturday.
Combining again with jockey Jacob Lowry, the son of Tavistock (NZ) was a 2l winner over Capo Dell Impero (NZ) (Ghibellines).
“It was a great thrill and we will definitely be enjoying ourselves tonight (Saturday),” MacGregor said. “We planned to come south for the two races and we have been lucky enough to win them both.”
Previously a winner of the G3 Hawke's Bay Spring Sprint H., Times Ticking is one of just two foals to race for his dam, the dual winner Laoghaire (Pins).
Malkovich makes amends at Hawkesbury
Bjorn Baker’s Malkovich (Choisir) made up for his narrow defeat in last year’s renewal when taking out the Listed Gold Rush at Hawkesbury on Saturday afternoon. The 4-year-old gelding was winning his second race at Listed level, and has now amassed $845,505 from his total of eight victories.
Ridden by Josh Parr, Malkovich made every yard of the running to beat A Very Fine Red (Deep Field) by 0.52l, with Godolphin’s Andermatt (Snitzel) a further 0.66l away in third.
Running in the Darby Racing colours, he was a $240,000 purchase for the syndicator at the 2019 Inglis Sydney Ready2Race Sale.
Miller’s Vista takes home Sheila Gwynne
The Simon Miller-trained 5-year-old mare Stellar Vista (Star Witness) won Saturday’s Sheila Gwynne Classic (1400 metres) at Ascot in a photo from Jadavi (Coconut Grove). Out of the four-time winner Vantage Point (Anabaa {USA}), she was purchased at the 2019 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale by her trainer for $80,000.

Skyman seals Tails
Chris Waller captured the Listed Tails S. at Doomben on Saturday with import Skyman (GB) (Mukhadram {Ire}). Campaigned in the Go Racing colours, the 7-year-old gelding was winning his ninth career start and his fourth at Listed level.
