Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
For racing on Friday, we have two three 3-year-olds that are on debut. We kick off at Geelong with a homebred Rubick colt for the Lindsay Park team. Our other runner is a well-bred filly that steps out in Canberra for owner-breeder Gerry Harvey.

The latter is the dam of the stakes winners Hasahalo (NZ) (Savabeel), Hasabro (NZ) (Savabeel), All Saints’ Eve (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) and All Hallows’ Eve (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}).
Asset Rain is also a half-sister to the stakes winners La Lagune (Danehill {USA}) and Make Me A Miracle (Flying Spur).
The Matthew Smith-trained filly, who has had three trials ahead of her debut, will be handled by Ellen Hennessy.
