Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.
The spotlight will be cast over Werribee on Sunday when a colt and filly by the Darley-based Brazen Beau make their debuts.

Launch Sequence, 2-year-old colt (Brazen Beau x She’s A Youeffoh {Starcraft {NZ}})
Flemington-based trainer Mathew Ellerton will debut a colt by Brazen Beau, Launch Sequence, at Werribee on Sunday.
Ellerton has had success with the progeny of Brazen Beau, having saddled-up General Beau, one of the leading performers for the Darley-based stallion.
Launch Sequence is the first foal from the Starcraft (NZ) mare. She’s A Youeffoh. She was a four-time winner from 1400 to 1800 metres and is a half-sister to Traveston Girl (Flying Spur).

Traveston Girl won twice as a 2-year-old and retired as a winner of the Listed Tattersall’s RC Recognition S. and Listed Brisbane H. She was also placed in the G1 Thousand Guineas.
Furthermore, this is the family of the warhorse Defier (Dehere {USA}), a 10-time winner from 1000 to 2200 metres. Defier won such races at the G1 Queen Elizabeth S., the G1 George Main S. and the G1 Doomben Cup, the gelding was also placed twice in the G1 WS Cox Plate and placed in the G1 Doncaster H.
Launch Sequence was a $250,000 yearling purchase by Trilogy Racing and CB Bloodstock from the draft of KBL Thoroughbreds at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Lady Bollinger (NZ), 2-year-old filly (Brazen Beau x Unique Magic {NZ} {Denman})
Champion Trainer Chris Waller will debut a daughter of Brazen Beau, Lady Bollinger (NZ), at Werribee on Sunday.
The filly is the first foal from the Denman mare Unique Magic (NZ). She was a six-time winner 1200 to 1650 metres and is a half-sister to Kolding (NZ) (Ocean Park {NZ}).
The gallant Kolding has won eleven races from 1200 to 2000 metres, among his wins in the G1 Epsom H., the G1 All Aged S. and the G1 George Main S.
Kolding also claimed the $10 million Golden Eagle.

It is a family Waller knows well, having trained the brilliant sprinter and now Darley-based stallion, Brazen Beau and the $6.6 million earner Kolding.
Lady Bollinger was a $270,000 yearling purchase by Chris Waller and Mulcaster Bloodstock from the draft of Bhima Thoroughbreds at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Our Saturday selections fared only okay. Jehbenti (Hellbent) finished unplaced on debut beaten around 3l at Caulfield. While at Newcastle, the Zoustar-sired pair Tender Streak and Starmae were both placed on debut.
