It was a quiet morning of trials across the eastern seaboard on Tuesday, with just the Sunshine Coast hosting a card of 12 heats, three of which were for the juveniles.
The first was won by the Annabel Neasham filly Flying D’Amore, a daughter of Russian Revolution who is yet to debut since emerging in trials this month. With Damien Thornton, she posted a 0.1l win over the Stuart Kendrick-trained Torque Nowor Never (Shalaa {Ire}).

The 1000 metres was ticked over in 1:00.94, the last 600 metres in 35.50s.
Two-year-old Flying D’Amore is trained by Neasham at Eagle Farm. The chestnut filly is yet to race for her ownership, which includes Bennett Racing, but she was promising on June 6 at Doomben when she debuted in a barrier trial behind the well-bred Beautantes (Spirit Of Boom), a son of Funtantes (Easy Rocking) for Robert Heathcote. The latter was second on debut last week.
Flying D’Amore was purchased by Bennett Racing for $120,000 at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. The filly was Lot 791, a daughter of the Jet Spur mare Belle D’Amour, who was a winner of the Listed Lancaster S. in Brisbane.
This family is pretty tidy further along.

It features the fourth dam Worlica (Fr) (Bo Mot {Fr}), who was multiple times the dam of notable stakes performers. Among her progeny was World Leader (Fr), who was third in the G1 St Leger S. and G3 Craven S. at Newmarket, as well as the stakes-placed War Whisper (Fr) (My Swallow {Ire}) in Italy and Winning Boy (Fr) (New Chapter {GB}) in France.
Belle D’Amour, herself, was sent to Tiger Of Malay at Newgate Farm last spring, who covered 164 mares in his debut season at stud.
Flying D’Amore was one of three winners for the Neasham yard across all heats on Tuesday at the Sunshine Coast, but the sole among the 2-year-olds.
Capital Cee (Capitalist x Doremifasollatido {USA})
Local trainer Stuart Kendrick had a pair of 2-year-old heat winners across the morning, the first of which was the Capitalist gelding Capital Cee.
This youngster was has been up and racing since February, twice running third and then fifth in his latest outing on March 26. He’s been tipped out since then and returned on Tuesday for a good trial win, leading home stablemates Storm Force Ten (Fastnet Rock) and Torque About Magic (Kermadec {NZ}) by 0.2l and 1l respectively.

The winning time over 850 metres was 52.22s, the last 600 metres in 34.80s.
Capital Cee was bred by Kingstar Farm and consigned last year to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale. He was good buying for Kendrick at $90,000.
He is from the American mare Doremifasollatido (USA) (think The Sound of Music), who is a daughter of Bernstein (USA) and a respectable performer herself. In the US she won the G2 Matron S. at Belmont and was second in the G2 Adirondack S. at Saratoga.
Doremifasollatido is a half-sister to Fortunate Damsel (USA) (Runaway Groom {USA}), who was a Group 3 winner at Belmont, while further along this page is the Topsider (USA) mare Top Corsage (USA), who won the G1 Spinster S. at Keeneland and was Group-placed at Churchill Downs and Hollywood Park.

Doremifasollatido was imported to Australia in 2017. She is expecting a foal by Cosmic Force this spring and in January, at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Kingstar sold her Russian Revolution yearling to Archer Park Racing for $150,000.
Pinkus (Shalaa {Ire} x Ravishing Choice)
Two-year-old Pinkus (Shalaa {Ire}) looks one of the smarter options among Stuart Kendrick’s 2-year-old arsenal right now. The bay gelding is unraced but he has trialled twice for two wins.
His first outing was in his previous preparation on January 10, and on Tuesday he posted a 1.8l victory over is stablemates Tornado Torque (Deep Field) and Tour De Field (Deep Field). Also in the fray was Queen’s Arms (Rich Enuff), who followed Pinkus home in the January trial.
Shalaa (Ire) | Standing at Woodside Park Stud
The winning time was 51.60s for the 850 metres, the last 600 metres in 34.40s. It was a slightly quicker time than that posted by Capital Cee in Heat 8.
Pinkus comes with an interesting pedigree. He is from the Redoute’s Choice mare Ravishing Choice, making him a half-brother to More Radiant (More Than Ready {USA}), who was Group- and Listed-placed during her career.
The first dam is a full sister to Amelia’s Dream (Redoute’s Choice), who won the G2 Silver Slipper S. and is the dam of the stakes-placed Impasse (Sepoy) and Better Land (Shamardal {USA}).
Ravishing Choice is also a half-sister to Elimbari (Fastnet Rock), a winner of the G3 Kindergarten S. and the dam of the G2 Reilsing S. placegetter Vincere Volare (I Am Invincible).

As such, there is plenty of pedigree to Pinkus. The 2-year-old gelding was bought by Kendrick for just $35,000 at the 2022 Inglis HTBA May Yearling Sale when he was offered by Davali Thoroughbreds. He had previously passed in at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale earlier in the year.
Ravishing Choice had her Territories (Ire) filly sell for similar money ($38,000) at the same sale this year, this time to Kane Harris Racing, and the mare is currently in foal to Gingerbread Man in Western Australia.
