Middlebrook Valley Lodge - Sales and Bloodstock Manager

Middlebrook Valley Lodge is located in the Hunter Valley of NSW, just 15 minutes out of Scone, the horse capital of Australia. We are presently seeking a Sales and Bloodstock Manager. This diverse role would suit an enthusiastic Thoroughbred industry professional who wishes to join an established and successful team.

The successful candidate would report to the Stud Manager and Company Directors.

Key duties include:

- Client procurement and liaison.

- Representing Middlebrook Valley Lodge and their clients at national sales.

- Assisting with the procurement of nominations for clients.

- Providing clients with updates and communications.

- Associated administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will require the following skills:

- Highly developed communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to engage with clients within the thoroughbred industry.

- Ability to work independently, as well as in an inclusive team environment.

- Experience in this role or one similar.

A strong knowledge of the Australian Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing Industry is preferred. Salary package and other benefits will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

This role will be responsible for a wide range of bloodstock-related tasks such as:

· Day-to-day communications with clients

· Inspecting various bloodstock at all stages and all year round

· Building relationships with our key vendors, breeders, owners and buyers

· Representing NZB on-farm, at sales, events and various functions

Segenhoe Group are looking for an Assistant Yearling Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong background in yearlings who is looking to take that next step in their career and help manage some of the best-bred yearlings in Australasia.

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Previous experience with dealings and sales essential.

- Be able to work as part of a team and have good communication skills.

Amelia Park - Full-Time Yearling Preparation Manager

Amelia Park Farm is a professional boutique racing and breeding operation located in the southwest of Western Australia. Located just 10 minutes from the beaches in Western Australia's wine and surf country, it is a beautiful place to spend the summer.

We require a full-time yearling prep manager from the end of November until the end of February for the Perth Sales.

With an expected draft of 15-20 yearlings, the candidate will require:

- Experience handling, prepping and educating young stock on the ground for the purpose of presenting them at sales.

- Confidence and experience with colts.

- The ability to manage a small team and work among a larger team of staff.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a short-term employment opportunity with a very successful and highly regarded breeding operation. Above award wage with accommodation and other incentives to be discussed with the right candidate.

The opportunity for permanent employment after sales is also available for the right candidate and can be discussed.

Very limited weekend work is required of this position.
