It was a hive of activity at Warwick Farm on Monday morning, with 14 trials conducted, including two for the new-season juveniles.

In Heat 6, it was the fillies’ turn, and after four scratchings, we were left with a field of three. The 795-metre trial was taken out by the Richard and Will Freedman-trained Miss Judas, who clocked 46.60s.

The winner is a daughter of Darley’s Group 1-winning freshman sire Microphone.

Miss Judas stepped away slowly and sat behind the leader Better Being Single (Better Than Ready), before peeling off her back soon after swinging for home. That pair cleared out in the run to the line, with Miss Judas edging clear in the dying stages to prevail by 0.93l under James McDonald.

Kia Ora Stud bred Miss Judas and offered her at this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. She was bought by her trainers for $320,000.

The filly is the sixth living foal from the Group 2 victress Sistine Angel (Testa Rossa) and she herself is a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Sistine Demon (Excites) and the stakes performer Themoonlitegambler (Good Journey {USA}).

Miss Judas’ second dam is the unraced Peintre Celebre (USA) mare Famous Painter - a half-sister to the Group 2 victor Gallopini (Canny Lad) and the Listed scorer Land Speed Record.

Eight colts and geldings lined up in Heat 8, again over 795 metres, and it was a Tulloch Lodge trifecta, with The Three Hundred (I Am Invincible) winning by 2.16l in a time of 46.24s. Pro Forma (Capitalist) and Barracuda (Trapeze Artist) placed third - both racing in the China Horse Club silks - placed second and third respectively.

The Three Hundred, who won a Warwick Farm trial on September 25, found the front early in the hands of Adam Hyeronimus and was never headed.

Bred by Allam Racing Syndicate, the colt was consigned by Yarraman Park Stud at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. He was bought for $400,000 by Trilogy Racing, Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott Racing.

The Three Hundred is the third living foal of the 2015 Listed Welcome S. victress Sassy ‘N’ Smart (Smart Missile) and she herself is a half-sister to the Group 3 scorer Mallory (Not A Single Doubt).

Other stakes winners on the colt’s page include Marbling (GB) (Kingman {GB}) and Nebraska Tornado (USA) (Storm Cat {USA}).

Meanwhile, Annabel Neasham’s imported stayer Fawkner Park (Ire) (Zoffany {Ire}) won Heat 1 (1200 metres) and last-start Flemington victor, the Waterhouse/Bott-trained Gold Bullion (NZ) (Savabeel), ran third in Heat 3 (1200 metres).
