Rosehill held eight trials on Friday morning. Although no established superstars were present, progressive gallopers were out in force.
All eyes will be on Randwick and Caulfield on Saturday, which saw a quieter Friday morning at the trials. However, it lacked nothing in quality.
Waller’s strong hand
On the eve of the Caulfield Guineas, where Arrowfield Stud’s second-season sire, The Autumn Sun, scored one his most impressive victories, he sired two brilliant trial winners at Rosehill on Friday - Tutta La Vita and Influential.

First to the post was the Chris Waller-trained Tutta La Vita in the opening heat over 1030 metres.
The 3-year-old was third in the G1 Flight S. behind Tropical Squall (Prized Icon).
Tutta La Vita, ridden by James McDonald, the regular rider of The Autumn Sun, was a 0.94l victress over Mad Deel (Dundeel {NZ}), while Eau De Vie (Snitzel) finished third.

Tutta La Vita’s stablemate Influential stepped out in Heat 7 over 900 metres.
The 3-year-old gelding has raced three times and was fourth in the Listed Phoenix S.
McDonald was in the saddle again, winning narrowly from Brokerage (Capitalist); a further 2.81l away was My Paloma (Flying Artie).

Also from the Chris Waller stable was the unraced Eraantyva, a daughter of Zoustar.
The 3-year-old filly was ridden by Kerrin McEvoy in Heat 8 over 900 metres and beat her stablemate, Duke Of Lancaster (Trapeze Artist) by 0.39l.
Greenwich Stud races Eraantyva, bred by GJ Perry. She is the third foal from her late dam, Spring Venture (USA), a daughter of Spring At Last (USA).
Spring Venture won the G2 Natalma S. at Woodbine and the G3 Mazarine S.
Vinne’s fly
The royally bred Vintonic was an impressive winner of Heat 3 over 1030 metres.
Trained by Anthony Cummings, the 5-year-old entire is a son of Australia's reigning Champion Sire, I Am Invincible.

His dam, Sistonic (Bel Esprit), is closely related to the undefeated Black Caviar (Bel Esprit). Sistonic has produced the Group 3 winner Semillion (Shalaa {Ire}).
Vintonic has had three starts and has failed to finish in the money. However, with Andrew Adkins aboard, the entire was a visually impressive 2.06l victor over Siglo De Oro (Lope De Vega {Ire}) and Speymalt (Not A Single Doubt) 3.61l behind in third.
Peter and Paul Snowden sent out I Am Invincible’s speedy daughter Satin And Silk, who showed plenty of toe in Heat 5 over 900 metres.

The 3-year-old filly, ridden by Tommy Berry, jumped straight to the lead and held a comfortable 0.56l victory over Deficit (Snitzel) and Dawn Issue (Press Statement).
Million-dollar yearling impresses at Rosehill
The Snowden stable enjoyed a successful Friday morning at Rosehill; in addition to Satin And Silk winning Heat 5, they were represented by High Octane (Deep Field) win Heat 4 over 900 metres.
The son of Deep Field flew late to deny the I Am Invincible-sired pair Agenda Setter and La Roja with Zac Lloyd aboard.
High Octane was a $1.05 million yearling purchase by China Horse Club, Newgate, Go Bloodstock and Trilogy from the draft of Segenhoe Stud at the 2023 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
High Octane is the second foal from the Not A Single Doubt mare Granny Red Shoes. She won twice at Listed level in the Tatt’s RC Winning Edge S. and the Oxlade S.
