Ascot: G3 Prince Of Wales's S., $200,000, 1000m
A horse who does not know how to run a bad race - doing a fine job recording his second black-type victory at his first run since mid-June - Snowdome (Rommel) was a popular winner.
Bred by Santo Guagliardo who remains in the ownership - and who stands his dual Group-winning sire, a son of Commands - at Ridgeport Thoroughbreds - Snowdome won last year's WATC Sires' Produce S.
One of his sire's two stakes winners (from 55 runners/38 winners), Snowdome is out of the unraced Snow Pixie (Snitzel) who also produced Rommel's other stakes winner - the R. Listed Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy winner Pixie Chix.
Boasting a 100 per cent stakes strike rate, Snow Pixie's only other foal (she dropped out of the Stud Book only recently) is the stakes-placed dual city-winner Snow Prince (Safeguard).
Snow Pixie's dam Davala (Dalakhani {Ire}) was represented by three metropolitan winners amongst her five winners and she is a half-sister to the Singapore-based Listed winner Hughsy (Henny Hughes {USA}).
Bred on 4 X 3 cross of Danehill (USA), Snowdome can count amongst his relations the Group 1 galloper Shemaka (Ire) (Nishapour {Fr}), Shakeel (Fr) (Dalakhani), Bay Bridge (GB) (New Bay {GB}) and Full Of Luck (Chi) (Lookin at Lucky {USA}).
G3 Asian Beau S., $200,000, 1400m
The last time Marocchino (Maschino) won a stakes race - the Listed Detonator S. over 1800 metres in February - he was an odds-on favourite. This time, second-up over 1400 metres he paid a bit better - triple figure odds in fact!
Bred by his trainer Lou Luiciani, Marocchino is one of the six stakes winners (from 97 runners/49 winners) for his Alwyn Park-based, G3 R.J Peters S.-winning sire.
His dam is the city winner Comeitbesideme (McFlirt), half-sister to the Listed Bunbury Cup winner Whipsaw (Hold That Tiger {USA}).
Served last year by Shooting To Win after foaling a full sister to Marocchino having slipped the previous season, Comeitbesideme has another Maschino in the Luiciani stable - the yet to race 3-year-old gelding Frappuccino.
Also dam of the city winner Comealilbitcloser (Red Hot Choice), Comeitbesideme is a granddaughter of the stakes-placed Hondalae (NZ) (Better Honey {GB}) whose Listed Red Roses S.-winning granddaughter Gatana (Marauding) is the grandam of Fastnet Rock.
Morphettville: Listed John Letts Cup, $120,000, 1800m
Making it two in a row and doing well up in class off a BM86 success at the same track, Pudding (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) broke through for his first success at black-type level.
The 46th stakes winner for his late sire, Pudding was bred by F Niu and sold by Hallmark Stud to the Jolly family for NZ$65,000 at the 2020 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Yearling Sale.
The amusingly named gelding is out of the winning mare Christmas Day (Zabeel {NZ}) who has also produced the eight-time winner English Gambler (Casino Prince).
Served last spring by Proisir having missed the previous season, Christmas Day has yet to be named colts (three and two) by Shamexpress (NZ) and Charm Spirit {Ire}).
A half-sister to the G3 Cameron H. winner New Tipperary (High Chaparral {Ire}), Christmas Day is out of the city winner Assertiveness (Danehill {USA}) whose dam is the classy broodmare Sommes Sound (USA) (Assert {Ire}) - dam of the Group 1 winners Assertive Lad (Zeditave) and Assertive Lass (Zeditave), in turn dam of the unbeaten dual Group 1-winning successful stallion Reset.
Pudding is the 14th stakes winner (from 121 runners/93 winners) by Tavistock out of a Zabeel mare - a cross that provides for the duplication of the wonderful mare Special (USA) (Forli {Arg}).
Rosehill: Golden Eagle, $10,000,000, 1500m
The big bucks on offer went overseas courtesy of a fast finish by the Japanese visitor Obamburumai (Jpn) (Discreet Cat {USA}) having his first start in Australia.
A lightly raced Group 1-placed, Group 2 winner, he is one of the 38 stakes winners for his G1 Cigar Mile and G2 UAE Derby-winning sire who died aged 20 at Darley's Hokkaido base in May.
Obamburumai is out of the placed Pink Gerbera (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) who has also produced the four-time winner Fuyu Shogun (Jpn) (Ceres Hunt {Jpn}).
Pink Gerbera is out of the Group 3-placed Le Sucre (Jpn) (Sakura Bakushin O {Jpn}) , also dam of the dual Group 3 winners Bien Fait (Jpn) (Kizuna {Jpn}) and Blanc Bonheur (Jpn) (Deep Impact) and the two-time Listed winner Entsheiden (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}).

Bred on a 6 X 6 cross of Pride Of Jenni's (Pride Of Dubai) ancestress Pocahontas (USA) (Roman {USA}), Obamburumai can count amongst his relations the Group winners Ballagh Rocks (USA) (Stormy Atlantic {USA}), Eh Cumpari (USA) (Elusive Quality {USA}), Eye Of A Jedi (USA) (Eye Of The Leopard {Can}) and Faraway Kitten (USA) (Kitten's Joy {USA}).
Giga Kick S., $3,000,000, 1300m
It was a deserved feature race success for the classy and consistent Bella Nipotina and part of a good day for her underrated Coolmore Stud-based sire Pride Of Dubai.
The winner of last year's G1 Manikato S. took her prize money tally to beyond $6 million for her happy owners who paid $80,000 for her at the 2019 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.
Bred by Saconi Thoroughbreds and sold by Rosemont Stud to Lindsay Park Racing, Andrew Williams Bloodstock and Mt Hallowell Stud, she is one of her sire's 20 stakes winners.
She is the first foal produced by the lightly raced Bella Orfana (Star Witness) - half-sister to the G2 sprinter Hallowell Belle and the G3 winner Fuddle Dee Duddle whose son Brereton (Zoustar) won the G3 Maribyrnong Plate.
A granddaughter of the lightly raced Bella Inez (Beautiful Crown {USA}) - full sister to the G1 Caulfield Guineas winner In Top Swing - Bella Nipotina is a half-sister to the city-placed three-time winner Bella Sorellina (Capitalist).
Bella Orfana foaled a Trapeze Artist colt in mid-October, missing to Zoustar the previous season having had the year before that off. Her 3-year-old Quello Dorato (Trapeze Artist) - a $280,000 colt - is a yet to race member of the Danny O'Brien stable.
