Love For Us, 3-year-old filly (Ilovethiscity x Feesforus {Legal Opinion})
The Mornington-based trainer Shane Nichols will head to Benalla on Sunday with his filly Love For Us. The daughter of Ilovethiscity will line up for start two after being unplaced on a Heavy 9 track at Moe on debut.
Love For Us is the fifth foal from the Legal Opinion mare Feesforus. She won twice and is the dam of Barocha, a full brother to Love For Us. Barocha was exported to Hong Kong and renamed Beauty Fit, where he’s won five races.

The filly is related to the G2 Queensland Guineas and Listed Vo Rogue Plate victress Sequential Charm (Sequalo).
Love For Us was a $70,000 purchase by Shane Nichols Racing from the draft of Noor Elaine Farm at the 2022 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

Fratineeze, 3-year-old filly (Trapeze Artist x Fratianne {Lonhro})
A daughter of Widden Stud’s second-season sire Trapeze Artist, Fratineeze will kick her career off at Ararat on Sunday.
The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained filly is the sixth foal from the Darley-bred mare Fratianne (Lonhro). She is the dam of the late G2 Reisling S. victress Tenley (Medaglia D’Oro {USA}) and Biscayne Bay (Sebring), who scored the G2 Sires’ Produce S. and placed in the G1 VRC Oaks.

Fratineeze is related to the G1 Golden Slipper victor Vancouver, also the Champion 2YO Colt in Australia in 2014/15 and the G1 Robert Sangster heroine Juste Momente (Giant’s Causeway {USA}).
The filly cost Ciaron Maher Bloodstock $340,000 when offered by Widden Stud at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Looking Back
There were mixed results for Saturday's selections. Onemoretwomany (Tassort) won on debut at Ascot in Western Australia. However, Trafalgar Square (Churchill {Ire}) was unplaced at Rosehill.
